  1. Hi there,

I got mine on Monday. But the embassy gave me my passport and one "Do Not Open" sealed envelope. I saw in the forum that many people got two envelopes and I'm afraid if I might be missing one. If possible, can you please take a picture of the two sealed envelopes? Are they identical? I do have my xray envelope that I got from the medical and I don't know if that counts towards the second envelope. Please let me know as I'm making travel plans :)

    Thanks a lot

  2. Hi there,

You will need to gather all documents prior to setting up your appointment date since you don't exactly know how long it will take the police report to get to the embassy. I would suggest contacting the embassy through email and following up until they receive the report then you can schedule your appointment online on the website stated in the attachment email they sent. Previously, the embassy used to give you an interview date, but the started a new system where applicants set their interview date. That's how I did it a week ago. The medical may take 3-4 business days at most. Hope this helps and good luck :)

  3. Thank you for this helpful info! :D

I haven't continued the scheduling yet as I was afraid I might not make it on the dates available and would need to pay the fees again. (Well at least now i know that i get to choose more dates).

I want to ask you, did you pay through cc or cash. Is debit (visa/masterc) allowed? Thank you.

We paid with credit card. It was not accepting a debit card.

  4. Yes, you have to register on the website and schedule your appointment.

When I was registering, it showed me September 1 which was the earliest. After I paid the visa fee, it was showing more dates; I don't actually remember how long it will go until, but at least it showed me more future dates to choose from.

If you have this kind of questions, since this is a new process, I suggest emailing the embassy with your question.

    Good luck

  5. Hi there,

We're in similar situation. We've heard from NVC that our case was sent to the embassy on July 28 and I believe it was received on the 2nd August. We didn't hear anything back after then.

So, I emailed the embassy end of last week asking for a status of our case and hoping they will respond in the coming few days. Someone suggested they would respond.

I don't think calling would be the better option since they have a contact us page to request regarding your case and/or you can email them.

I hope they let us something anytime soon. Waiting without knowing something sucks.

Good luck to both of us.

    Cheers

  6. Hi everyone,

I'm in a bit of confusion here and would love to hear any advise from fellow applicants.

We just received our case # and invoice id # from NVC and was wondering if anyone can help me with the next steps. I'm a resident working in Dubai and I assume the interview will be in Abu Dhabi. Below are also some of my questions:

    1. What are Packet 3 and Packet 4?
    2. When should I do the medical exam and vaccination? Is it better to do after I received the appointment for the interview?
    3. I've read somewhere that the embassy will send me a checklist. Is that through an email or post?
    4. When and where am I going to pay the Visa service fee? And how much is the fee at the moment?

I really appreciate your help and have a good day. :)
