  1. Hi to all of you,

I filled my forms on January 4, 2016 and after 90 days I put in a request for the form I-765 Employment Authorization. After 15 minutes on the phone with the guy he ended the conversation with: thank you sir and hang up he didn't let me ask any further questions. And I really didn't get any answer at all. After a week or so there was a letter in the mail what said that my case was on hold regarding to a RFE on my I-485 petition. They ask for that evidence almost 2 month after they received my application. Now they telling me that this also reset the clock on my Form I-765, that means I have to give them another 90 days of processing time. For me it's unbelievable how they work - I have to hang in there and I can't work for another 90 days.

Today I called in to ask about the status on my I-131 form. They told me that they processing right now December 2nd of 2015. I sent my form in on January 4, 2016 that means I have to wait another month to hear from them - I already booked a flight to go back to Germany to wrap up a few things. But the lady on the phone told me it needs to be an emergency to get paper work from them to leave the country. She suggested I should just wait another month. I am freaking sick of waiting actually. So I tried to make an appointment at the field office but the website is telling me that there are no appointments for service available at this time please check back later.

I was just wondering if this is just they way how I filled my cases, because I didn't use a lawyer doing this. Does anybody have an idea or suggestion I should do to speed up my case somehow?

    Thanks for your answers!!

  2. Hi to everybody,

I am just wondering and I am really going nuts with immigration. They ask me a month ago for evidence of support so I sent them everything they needed. I also filled for my employment authorization 95 days ago. I finally called them but it is a waste of time they guy just ask when I applied for it and he opened up a case for me. It's really ignoring because I have job offers and I can't take them on because of that stupid paper. So now my concern is are they going to stop working on my other cases when they suspending the I485 Form? I might should say that I am doing this whole thing without a lawyer. Somebody told me I should get a lawyer because then they are not snoozing on there time lines. I am really frustrated also my travel documents haven't arrived yet either. Any suggestions?

    Thank you

  3. Hello fellows,

I have a question maybe somebody has experience with this particular topic. I came to the USA via Boston got married in the State of Vermont. Then moved to California. I do have a residence address but this address is located in a gated secure area. There is no mail delivered to the house at all except you using UPS or FedEx. But USCIS is sending via USPS and this people do not deliver to the house only to the mailbox - I send in my I485, I131 and I785 form and I gave them my physical address and put in the same line my PO box and a little sticker to let them know that they have to sent it to the PO Box - Now we got worried because a lawyer told us there is no way that they will deliver to a PO Box - but what can I do if USPS is not delivering - can I ask USCIS to us FedEx or UPS as a service to send me the NOA letters? I send my package on the 30th of December and I haven't heard from them at all. And I am on that point that I might think this with the address will be the problem. Anyone?

  4. Hi to all you,

does somebody has any experiences with the DMV? I moved on the 25th of December to the USA and got married on the 28th of December. I sent in my application of adjusting my status and SSN as well the advanced travel document application. Now as I wanted to get everything done with paperwork, as I can't work right now. I went to the DMV to do my drivers license and got told at the DMV that is not a good idea to do so. I decided to ask at least for an identification card. At the front desk they told me it will be not a problem at all. WRONG so I finally got called up to the clerk on the window she took all the information and put it in her system - now she is asking me for my SSN - I told her that I don't have one yet - so she told me they are processing it right now that is the reason she can't issue me an ID Card. Her system is not able to issue me a ID Card without a SSN # because I am a legal alien - I think this is a good think to hear. But as I sent my mail to USCIS 2 days earlier to this appointment at the DMV, I doubt it that USPS deliver my mail at this time to USCIS. So how could that lady possible see that at her screen already - And I sort of need that card to cancel services back home in Germany. Is anyone here who can give me a heads up on this topic?

    Thank you

  5. Does somebody know or can help me out. I am a musician myself and I got a few gigs to play outside of the country. After my case got lost in transition between USCIS and NVC I had to adjust another 4 month. It took them for ever to find my case. I finally told my lawyer about it, he followed up! And a week later my paper work showed up at NVC.

Now here is my actual problem because of this huge delay I got already some bookings for February and March 2016 to play here in Germany for a major label company. I will get married probably on Dec. 22nd in Springfield, the lady there was a very helpful person, she will get my paper work all done on the same day. So I am going to file my I-485, I-765 and my I-131 the right after. My lawyer told me that it takes a least 60 days to get a travel permit - that really would be a big issue for my career. I read that there is a advanced parole travel document. Is this issued faster and gives me the possibility to travel outside the USA in February?

I kind of feel so upset because of the whole delay. I had no chance after they delayed everything I couldn't stop to take on work as a self-employed musician.

Anybody with some words of hope?

  6. Dear Visa Journey Familie,

I need some help, it's slowly driving me insane. I got my case approved by Texas Visa Center on July 27th 2015. I am waiting already since 2 month to get a case # from NVC. I called them after the 30 days not hearing from them they told me to send an email to the research service - what I did but nothing happened. We called USCIS they told us they start tracking the case after not hearing anything with in 90 days. For me it gets really complicated because we set actually a time to get married etc. and I took a job offer as a musician, what I am doing for living, I have to travel for that job. My attorney is telling me that I have to stay in the US at least for 60 days. I started reading all the other timelines, they got there # with in 2 weeks or so and the case got sent to the consulate. I was actually already taking off from work for 90 days now it's getting really tight. The visa center is delaying me so much that I don't know what to do. I feel so unorganized because I can't do anything, I can't book a flight, I can't make any wedding plans, I can't go to the medical exam, etc.... this is really driving me nuts.

    Hope everything works out well.
