  2. Yndy,

Please let us know if your going to enroll there.I am going back go philippines on December and start reviewing the sat /act to enroll in the university also Im going to find English toturial back there.I feel like I lost track with my high school education it has been 15 years since I graduated in high school. I am very excited to start.

Thank u guys for sharing informations. These are helpful to those who wants to take nursing like me.God bless to us all.

  3. Lol! You were right there are 50 states in United States and In addition to the 50 states, there is one Federal District (the District of Columbia - Washington, D.C) and five territories that have various commonwealth status:

    American Samoa

    Guam

    Northern Marianas Islands

    Puerto Rico

    U.S. Virgin Islands.

  4. Thank you for sharing this one...what an eye opener. It seems like California is the most strict amongst 52 other state when it comes to medicine field well most of the cases.

What im thinking is I am not going to work here in California but in West Virginia. I've been doing a lot of re-search about this school it's called "arellano university " in manila they offered international BSN as I mentioned earlier the 3 years will be taken in Philippines and the last year will be taken in West Virginia at Broaddus university and will receive your diploma from this school. And can work to any hospital around after you passed the nclex.Sounds like really nice deal huh? Well I have talked to the school head when I was in philippines and they introduce to some of the students that has been studying over there.Tuition is around 4,000$ per yer and the last year in West Virginia will cost you 28,000$ including lodging.I was thinking of taking this route.but I want to investigate more around.reason why I posted it here hopefully someday have done it and will share their experience.?

  5. Yes I have ...the community college that I'm thinking too is pain in the ### to get in to. The waiting list is dreadful 2-3 years and it's hard to find school who offers BSN straight (they want u to do the bridge program instead) tuition fee if really expensive.plus From where I live I have to drive far everyday to go to school.I am glad I found this website people are very informative and opinionated.

  6. Thank you such a great info.i have read and heard about it to.I am from California and I am going to visit Bon (board of nursing) office to ask them ..but I have some friend who studied in philippines and practice their eduction here without any hardship.the reason why I like to study there bc it's cheaper and I got to spend time with my family as well.

have you explored all of the nursing education programs in your usa state? yes? no? which one is better for you based on time, distance from home and tuition costs?

  7. You are aware to become a RN in USA you only need a 2 years degree (Associates Degree Nursing) if educated in USA.

Other wise you will need a BSN if educated in Philippines.

If you go to school in USA then you can apply to go to a community college and get your ADN there, fairly cheap or free depending on where you live.

Or you can go to school for one year become a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in USA.

  8. Oh hey what school are u thinking to go to? I am looking for a friend here ( to go in Phil's)to study nursing have you heard about arellano university? They offered international bsn and they are partnered with university of Phoenix and broaddus university in West Virginia? Tuition isnt that bad maybe we can go together :)

  9. Hi guys

I'm new here, great site and very helpful.I have a quick question .Does any of you have done it before? Updating the social security after receiving the U.S. Passport?how long it will take the process from sending SS-5 to getting your documents back mail to you from their office? The reason I asked because I have unexpected trip this coming August 30 and I submitted my SS-5 form along with my passport and state ID.I wonder if I can have my passport back before August 29 as I have upcoming trip outside the U.S.Any input, comment is highly appreciated.By the way I applied (update my SSN) july 14 via mail .thank you guys
