    IR-5 (i-130) Time Delay in Nebraska Service Center

    Hey Manilaboy83, I just found out that my i-130 submitted in mid feb of 2015 was approved two days ago. Maybe they meant "january 2015" and not "january 2014" but I"m not sure. I think you should call USCIS and tell them to open a special request for you. Hopefully you get approve soon.

    I am in california. And having sleepless nights over nebrasksa center. I called USCIS 3-4 times today. And every rep said its not a mistake. it is back logged to january 2014. They asked me to call after 18 months. I panicked at that because its unbelievable. I didn't understand when I am from california, how my application landed in nebraska, rep replied, they can assign me any center. Earlier I been told by lawyer that k3 visa for wife is useless. I believe I should go ahead and file for k3 as it may take a shorter time and is useful if immigrant is back logged. I am usc and filed for wife. Please advice. My priority for wife is June 2015.(No kids)

    Just talked to Rep and she mentioned that's what the screen is reading January 2014. I almost had a fit. I would like to know if anyone (now or in past) heard of anything like that. Rep mentioned that it could be a mistake and if it it will be fixed in next few days.

    I really hope that it is a mistake since I do see some people from February are being approved.

    Prayers and strength for all who are in the process.

    I am in california.Shocked at the nebraska service center.Called the uscis 2-3 times. Every rep said its not mistake, they are backlogged to January 2014 which is big shock. asked why my case is in nebraska as I am in california and california has its own service center, rep said they can assign any centers. All 3 reps asked to call after 18 months!!!! I got divorced earlier due to priority date jumping back and I had told otherwise to my ex on estimated time to immigrate. Now again, here we go.again with nebraska

    Has anyone filed for k3 for wife?lawyers earlier said its useless,don't file it. may be now the situation is different. I have also heard cases being transferred to california center after 4 months,just can pray mine also gets transferred.So not sure.what to do.Please guide, My priority is June 1,2015 for wife and i am us citizen. I believe k3 will be good option at this time as it may take 7-8 months only
