I'm still waiting
and they received the petition on January 20th.I filed my second inquiry and contacted my senator and they too filed an inquiry. To find out would be the best Christmas gift ever!
-
Yes, I received a response to my inquiry filed on October 15th.it only said that it's under extended review, meaning they are behind. It is so frustrating!and I can't file for another one until after 30 days after my first filed inquiry. I am a January 20th filer.

I am a January 20th filer and was finally able to file an inquiry. They said to expect to hear a response by November 6th and if they go beyond that I'm going to cry, this is so frustrating. Why is it there's no one higher up you can talk to?
-
It has been 268 days for me and still no update of course the chart was updated through January 19th and I'm a January 20th filer. This is so frustrating. Does the process quicken after the approval?

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how much you want your fiancé with you especially with your situation. I am January 20th filer and no peep. I too feel like they are annoyed lately when I call. They have no answers or any clue about the processing times. I did get one guy who was really nice and said they have a chart that they can view that we can't, but that was about a month ago and that one wasn't updated either. I know it's really hard but as my fiance said to me the other day, to remember we are closer to the end of this. We will soon find out, the chart is usually updated around the 18th of every month I'm hoping they will finish a month and if no news we can file an inquiry. Stay hopeful, it will happen

I am sure you are not the only one still left. It took us 306 days to get our i-129f approval, so I can sympathize with feeling left behind. the official date is only in December right now, so dont stress just yet
It should come eventually. You can always try getting your senator involved, but you are at seven months, they may not do anything just yet. But you can always try!!!
It may not feel like it right now, but it will get better and you will get NOA2 eventually - baring any major issues that only you can know about.
I will be crossing my fingers for your :-)
Hi, I'm a January 20th filer and still haven't heard anything yet. Hang in there, it's a waiting game. I can't believe how backed up they are.
-
I didn't even know that was listed lol but I am part armenian. I cannot believe how long move is taking, I wonder why and thank you for respondingI'm also a January 20 filer (NOA 1 on that day) but I received my NOA2 on July 9 - so I really appreciate your frustration and sadness...I'm sorry this is happening to you.
I notice you have Armenia listed- is that a typo?
-
Still no news
tsc won't let me file an inquiry because there are within "normal processing time". I called the senator's office about 4 times. Just patiently waiting lol.I'm a January 20th filer anyone else in the same boat?
-
excellent point, I haven't seen my fiance since March and that was for 2 weeks, before that was September of 2014. I wouldn't be as anxious if I was with him.Wow Dana and Rosanny,
I imagine people would be more inclined to respond if you were slightly less of a brat. Also realize that you've had the luxury of being with your loved one for 6 MONTHS. Far more time than I've ever spent with my fiancé altogether. There are many couples who are forced to be APART from their finances for 6 months.

I'm a January 20th filer and haven't heard anything back yet, that individual is not the only person who hasn't heard anything back. You are right this is to support each other through this and personally, I am happy for all of those who are approved and I'll be happily posting on here once I hear a response. It's out of all of our control on who gets approved before others, so there's no one to blame.None of us have any magic wand that can help you. We are all in the same boat waiting. Some get earlier than others and it is really painful to watch others waiting. If you have specific question then you can get an answer. If not for this forum, I won't have a clue what is going on. You can get most answers by using the search bar. If you have already asked your congressmen, then you may want to try again, be persistent, show your mettle instead of calling out names here. A number of people have shared their experiences with congressmen and you can try those methods.
Having said that, you are living with your fiancee. In fact, looks like she is settled there and you are able to live with her. You are way luckier than most of us. Why don't you explore consular processing, dump this k1, marry her and apply for spouse visa through consulate. Live with her and enjoy your life instead of venting your frustration on people you don't know.

I can't imagine why no one would respond to you what with the childish name calling and the entitled attitude.
/sarcasm off
I'm sorry you've had to wait this long. I realize you are upset and frustrated and you have every right to be that way. But what you don't have is a right to lash out at everyone else because of what you feel was a slight against you. In your four posts all you have done is talk about your situation. You have asked no questions nor have you offered any response to anyone else. I'm not sure what exactly it is that you wanted from the members of Visa Journey. We are all here to support each other and I'm very sorry that in the middle of everything someone may not have gotten back to you or responded to you in the manner you were expecting. I read everyone's posts in this particular thread every single day. I can't always reply. I have a full time job, and I'm raising two children alone. I sincerely hope the best for you and I hope that your case gets moving. As for unsolicited adivce, have you considered the fact that you are living with your fiance in Aruba may be slowing down the processes a little? Have you contacted anyone? When you got your NOA1 where were you living? Did you write your congressman, senator?
-
Yeah I'm beginning to think they lost mine lol. This is crazy, the last one was December 21st by June 30th. It's been nearly 2 months to process January petitions.
-
Congratulations! That's great! Still waiting... I'm hoping this week will be the week
-
I'm a January 20th filer ugh!still waiting but seeing these approvals give me hope that it's coming soon. Do the approvals usually occur at night?

Looks like we are almost going to be neighbors Tekejian44, we should all meet up once this nightmare of a wait is over
Yes, I just realized we are in the same situation! You're in Toms river? Engaged to someone in England?Looks like we are almost going to be neighbors Tekejian44, we should all meet up once this nightmare of a wait is over

If you are certain you want a particular venue talk to them. Explain your predicament. See if they can include in the contract that if you are not approved in time that any monetary funds paid can be transferred to another date. That is what I did, my venue was able to include a provision that my (Feb) date can be transferred to any other date in 2016 as long as I did not cancel. Good luck!
Thank you everyone for the advice I really appreciate it. They will have in the contract that I just have to let them know 6 months in advance if I need to change the date, so that won't be until March of 2016 so I think that will be plenty of time. We're not having the big wedding until September 2016
-
Hi everyone! I don't know what to do! I have to put my down payment for the wedding venue Saturday, thinking I would have found out by now, but haven't
I don't know if I should put the Down payment down :/

Eric, the two Senators that I contacted from Georgia first sent me privacy releases to sign. I then with great detail outlined my case to them regarding the processing time differences between the CSC and the TSC. I also reminded them about the Senate hearing in March 2015 to try to fix the backlog at the TSC and how their answer was to route new filers to the CSC where they are approved in a matter of weeks. I knew the Senators had a direct line to Immigration that we don't have (I found this by researching on line).
My petition was approved July 27 and left for the DOS on July 29. I have no idea if my Senators helped or not but for anyone that is tired of the long wait at the TSC I would still write your Senators. Hoping for everyone to receive their approvals soon. I truly understand the horrible wait.
Thank you for the advice! I contacted the senator but left a message because it was past office hours. I'm a January 20th filer and still waiting!

Jan 28 Filer and just need a quick place to get it all out...
Hired a lawyer because I wanted to know for sure I'd done everything possible to bring my love here. Worst idea ever. She's done nothing at all but collect her money.
Went to see him for a couple of weeks in June/July.... Right when Jan filers first started hearing. He's amazing and I'm so in love. Came back pregnant! Joy and happiness and even more anxiety to get him here ASAP.
Yesterday was exactly 6 months from filing. Yesterday I was told I'm having a miscarriage. Today I'm looking for the strength to get up and have hope that today will be the day.
Someone already said how much each morning is filled with hope only to have each night after 11pm be filled with sadness.
Yesterday I found myself looking for jobs abroad. Anywhere. Other countries CANT do this to their citizens, right?! Make them wait for months and lie to them?!
I believe in God. I'm praying but it's just hard. Thought waiting 6 months was the hard part.... Nope. It's what is hopefully the final days.
My thoughts are with all of those who filed before me. Hope today is your day! Thanks to those who post on here. I lurk, read, laugh, and curse with you all. Love is amazing and gives us strength.

Hey all, January 22nd NOA1 one here. Been on here for the past 7 months but haven't posted anything yet...the past couple of weeks have started getting really really rough seeing everyone else get trough. Even on the USCIS case tracking app everyone around our receipt number has been approved or RFEd and nothin here:(
Just needing to vent a bit I guess...really frustrated at the system today. Sigh
Hi! I'm a January 20th filer and nothing yet so hang in there. I know it is really frustrating.

Thank you for your response
the embassy was trying to say to wait for packet 3, but I thought the same as you that you only need the case number, police certificate and passport photos. Yeah my fiancé is scheduled for his vaccinations for january 20th. How long did it take for you to receive packet 3?
