  1. Hi,

We just received our NOA and our biometrics appointment notice today. (Finally--yay!) The biometrics appt is scheduled for July 13 at 1pm. The problem is that we will be overseas from July 7th through July 26th. I've read that it's easy to reschedule the appt, and there are instructions on how to do so on the notice. However, the day after we return to the US from vacation, we are moving to a different state, at which point we will have a different local office.

Any suggestions about how to manoeuvre the biometrics appt rescheduling along with the appropriate time to file our change of address?

I figure we'll have to call the Customer Service number to figure it out, but I just thought I'd try to get some advice from everyone here first!

    Thanks!!!

  2. We sent our I-751 packet on 5/30 and USPS tracking indicates it arrived at NSC on 6/1. We still haven't heard anything--our check hasn't even cleared the bank. This seems slow compared to other NSC timelines. The question is when should we start to worry about this, and at that point what can/should we do? I assume we call the Customer Service number, but we don't have a receipt number, so will they even be able to do anything to look up our case?

Thanks for any guidance anyone can offer!

  3. Hi,

We sent our I-751 application to the NSC at the end of May (5/29) and according to the USPS it was delivered on 6/1. We haven't heard anything at all since then, the check hasn't even cleared our bank. How long does it usually take for the check to be cashed, and about how many weeks after filing should we expect the NOA/biometrics letter?

Are there others out there in similar situations, specifically at the NSC?

How long should we wait before we start looking into the situation? And when we do, whom should we contact?

    Thanks!

  4. The 90-day period leading up to the expiration of my husband's permanent resident card starts at the end of May. We know that we will be moving at the end of July (to a different state, but still in the region of the NSC). My question is whether or not we should wait to file the I-751 until after we have moved and officially changed our address, or if we should file the I-751 now at our current address and then do the offical change of address forms while the case is pending. Does anybody have any advice or did anyone go through something similar?

    Thanks for your input!
