  1. I know a friend who just went throu the same thing.

He applied 5 months ago. He got his interview NOW, which this is really upsetting for me.

As far as the AP goes,.. I thought this is just a form for emergency visits? not for 'I miss my family bad' kind of type lol

how exactly does this senator inquiry work?

is it just a letter I send to him or do I have to look out for more specific things to say/do.

    Danke! Is der wahre horror....

  2. Hello,

I am in frustrating situation right now and I don't know what to do, so I am reaching out to see if somebody could help or has advice.

I applied for my greencard or better adjustment of status last year early may.

I am still waiting to get approved, without any specific reasons or problems occured in the time.

Everything went fine with my EAD and I got it all in time.

Things that happened though in that time, which (for me) still don't justify the long processing time:

After reviewing our case the first time they sent us an initial request to look for a different sponsor.

What happened was, that they read our paperwork wrong and thought that my husband cant provide for me.

He can, that's how I got my k1-visa in the first place.

So we had to re-explain it to them, how to read government paperwork that states that my husband indeed can provide for me .

After that I received a letter in November saying that they are backed-up with their paperwork and my case will extend in the processing time but I should receive a notice after 6 months.

After calling people up again and again to figure out where my case is now, they send it without any notice to me to L.A (my location is Dallas, TX)

I received a notice early May, that in the process of the waiting time, my medical documents expired and I have to provide new ones (another $250 out of the window, because they weren't able to process my case and in that time my documents expired).

I resend the now updated and new medical documents to the L.A. office to get my case rolling again.

    They received it May 22nd.

There has not been an update yet on their website, that they have been even received it and no one will tell me anything when I try to call. All they tell me is that they are still in their "processing time" of 60 day's. Before that time I cant request anything. (tomorrow the time is over and ofcourse I am going to call again -.- )

Now my question is if I have any options to get my greencard or to complain so that they are actual working on it?

My documents were complete and valid when I sent them in the first time and my husband is a vet if that helps anything...

I really wanna go back to visit home and see my family. its been almost 1 1/2 years..
