  1. I submitted a K1 visa petition for my Peruvian fiancé over a year ago. On September 21st 2015 my fiancé finally had her interview at the American consulate in Peru. The consular who interviewed my fiancé told her that he had no reasons to doubt our relationship, but asked several questions about her previous visas. She lived in the U.S for over 8 years and she always managed to keep status. At last she applied for some type of trainee visa and the USCIS took 11 months to answer to her application. They denied her visa and couple weeks later she left the country and returned to Peru. During her interview my fiancé showed the consular all the paperwork regarding her previous visas. The consular said he needed time to review her case to make sure she was never an illegal while she was in the U.S. He told her that he would call her in a week to give her a definite answer but we haven’t heard from him yet. He gave her a yellow sheet which says that her case needs additional administrative processing.

Is there any way you can help with this matter? I would really appreciate any help or advice you can give me.
    Kind Regards,
    Scott & Luvie

  2. does anyone knows how to get a hold of the consulate in Lima? We have sent numerous emails and we haven't got any answers. My fiancé missed her appointment because she never received the package notifying her of her appointment, we found out she missed her interview through a congressional inquiry. Now we are trying to reschedule her interview and the consulate is not responding any of our emails. Does anyone know of a number we can call to reschedule her interview?

  3. we did all of this and we sent four emails to the consulate following the steps they gave us. they have not answered any of our emails. we called and they said they do not answer questions over the phone. when I said that I had emailed them and not gotten any answers they said it takes 20 to 30 days for a reply. Its been a month since the first email was sent and no answer as of yet. What else can be done?

  4. I filed a petition for my fiancé on September 26, 2014. On April 29th 2015 we received a notice of approval from the USCIS . May 4, 2015 we received a letter from the NVC, they sent the approval to the consulate in Lima Peru. Its been over 2 month's now and we have not heard from the consulate in Peru. The notice of approval will expire on 8.28.15. We are very worried this will expire and do not know what to do. We called the consulate and they said they do not answer questions over the phone. We do not know what to do because they do not answer our emails either. We also sent an inquiry to my local congressman. Does anybody know if there is something else we can do?

    Thanks in advance
