  1. Hi sorry for late replay hop u got ur passport back I got mail 3 days after issue

Hello Sarkawt. It's ok. Yes, my husband got his passport back yesterday. The timeline and order of events were a little different for us though. We got the "Issued" on CEAC on January 5th, the shipment showed up in DHL on January 11th, we got the "Congratulations" email from the Embassy on the 13th, and DHL called my husband to pick up the documents on January 16th and now he has booked his flight for the 19th!!! :joy:

  2. Congratulations u don't have to warry about anything once u get an email from embassy then it will go to dhl but u know dhl services suck in Iraq my passport were given to dhl on the 7 th of December I got it back on 23 of December I keepet calling dhl they said there system is down so once u recive the email from embassy go to them every day u will recive it in Bagdad ? If so go to them every day they are suck they kept our for 16 days I was going crazy good luck

Thanks again for your reply. One last question please :goofy: do you remember how long it was from the time you saw the "issued" in CEAC until you got the congratulations email you mentioned from the Embassy? We got our "issued" on the 5th, today is the 9th but still no emails received...

  3. "You will get a call as soon as it arrives at your local DHL office. The embassy usually takes 5 business days to print the visa. DHL in Iraq is slow you need add another week until it's delivered."

    Hello Reebs85!!!

We finally got our "issued" status on CEAC on January 5th. We have our tracking number but when we input it DHL still does not show it in the system. Do you remember how long it took for the tracking info to show up in DHL's system for you? If not, you said, "give it another week until it's delivered", is that 5 Business days or just 7 days including weekends and holidays?

  4. I wish to transfer my husbands interview frm Bagdad iraq to amman jordan.does any one know how long this process takes an can I request change thru usic??

    Dear Gafelkins56,

I am sorry but I do not know how long that process might take. Based on the reply of another VJ Member to this question you posted in November, they said you could do it after it arrived in Baghdad, so to me I think this would mean a lot longer wait and process than normal. I am just curious, would you be willing to share why you wish to transfer your interview to Jordan?

  5. Males from MENA countries are usually put on AP for a bit. The CO probably approved the visa based on all documents you submitted but, it's contingent on the AP (background check) they'll conduct. Once AP is completed, he'll probably have to submit his passport to retrieve his visa.

So, yes, AP could mean that it'll only take a few days or it could mean that it'll take a few months. I'd suggest checking the status on the CEAC portal often to see if any updates have been made.

Also, the reason why they said 'refused/denied' is because after the interview, the CO is required to render a decision. Since they cannot say 'approved' because AP still needs to be done, they issue a temporary denial.

Thank you for your reply teeak. I guess this just means more patience to be gathered. I was hoping my husband would be able to come back with me when I leave to the US on the 20th...I guess all I can do now is pray for a miraculously quick administrative process... :content:

  6. I am confused about something. My husband had his Visa Interview today and they gave him two pieces of paper. One said Congratulations he was approved and has his A# on it and instructions for paying the Visa Fee and the 2nd papere said the Visa was refused until Administrative Processing is completed. They also did not take his passport and told him in case he wants to travel in the meant time. How can the Visa be Approved and Refused at the same time? Has this happened to anyone else? Or does this just mean that there is a long wait ahead to receive the actual visa?

  7. I just received a letter from nvc that my case is complete and visa bulliten is currant how long it will take for U.S. embassy ( Baghdad Iraq ) to set a interview date for interview ? Thank u

    Receive Instruction and Interview appointment letter : 2015-09-04 Case Completed at NVC : 2015-08-05 NVC Left : 2015-08-20 Consulate Received : 2015-08-25 Packet 3 Received : 2015-09-04 Packet 3 Sent : 2015-09-04 Packet 4 Received : 2015-09-04 Interview Date : 2015-10-08

Our case was completed on August 5, 2015 and we got the interview appointment letter on September 4, 2015 for an interview date of October 8, 2015.

  8. Congratulations t you also. I have added you t the spreadsheet.

The case complete letter comes 7 days after case compete.

DO NOT get the medical until you get interview. Unfortunately for your embassy its a 2 to 3 month wait after case Complete for interview to be scheduled. I still have people with CC 5/20 waiting for interviews. So please don;t even do t. Sorry to bring you this news.

Thank you dwheels76. I saw that you added me to the spreadsheet but the country of interview you put for me is wrong. The country should be Iraq and not Egypt. It would not let me change it because I do not have access. Can you change it to the correct country for me or can you tell me how I can gain access to change it myself? As far as hearing any bad news for me at this point any news (good or bad) is better than no news :goofy:

  9. They told me to wait for an email/letter with an appointment date, but wouldn't tell me how long that will take!

Thanks. The CSR confirmed my case was complete but she could not tell me exactly how long it would take to get the interview letter. I also asked her if my husband could get his medical now before receiving the letter and she said she did not advise that because some embassies require the medical to be done within a specific time frame...Will keep you posted!!! ?
  10. The next step depends on the embassy... Some are faster than others at issuing interview dates... Good luck!

  11. Hi,

    I have got 3x N/A's in CEAC....

    BUT

I only sent AOS/IV package just over 3 weeks ago, and DS-260 less than a week ago

Surely this can't be case complete???

    Hello CJKylie!

First I would like to say congratulations!!! ☺️ I checked my status online a few minutes ago and it also has an N/A in the AOS Fee field where it used to say Paid...But the IV Fee field still says Paid...So my question for you is exactly which fields are the "three" that say N/A online for you?~Tanya

  12. Yep... I've gotten a few of those... I just dialed back again and tried another... You can even request a supervisor review ( which is what I did ). We were Case Closed this morning... I checked the status and seen N/A where it used to say paid... I called up and was told case closed... Awaiting for a interview date...?. Your day is coming soon... Just keep checking

    Hello Dingdupme!

First I would like to say congratulations!!! ☺️ After reading your post just now I checked my status online and it also has an N/A in the AOS Fee field where it used to say Paid...But the IV Fee field still says Paid...So my question for you is did both fields say N/A when your case was complete or only one of them? ~Tanya

  13. Talk to supervisor directly. I never had any good experience with first end representative. They can't do anything.

The last CSR I spoke with did tell me he was going to let me speak with the Supervisor directly but then after a few minutes on hold he said he was not able to get a Supervisor on the line. I think I will try again tomorrow. Thanks for your advice.

    ~Tanya

  14. Have u called? What does they say?

Nvc is really testing our Patience!

    Hello.

For me as of today it has been exactly 74 BUSINESS days (weekends and holidays excluded) since my DS 260 was submitted. I have called numerous times and received numerous different answers as to why it is taking our case so long to complete even after requesting Expedite service, providing proof as to why our case needs to be expedited, being told by expedite as soon as I turn in the DS 260 they could proceed with the expedite, and just being told on July 28th that our case was indeed routed to a Supervisor on June 3, 2015 exactly 43 BUSINESS days ago, yet the CSR did not see any further action on our case since it was sent to the "Supervisor for Review"...

    ~Tanya

  15. Hi everyone. This may be a easy question, but I wanted to know for sure does it matter who sends in the AOS and IV packages to the NVC? The petitioner or Applicant?

    Hello.

I am not sure if it matters as long as all of the information is accurate and complete, but I believe the Petitioner is the one who should complete and submit these packages.
