Just received a notification that card is in production. Biometrics was 11th of June. No interview, no transfer, case stayed with CSC.

Hi guys, just wanna share some update with my case. I also got the biometrics letter on 6/22 (notice date 6/14), appointment is scheduled on 7/5.
Old USCIS site still can't provide my case info and the new site only shows they received my case last year. I'll check if both sites show something different after giving my fingerprints.
I’m in the exact same situation. Nothing updated for me after doing the biometrics on 6/11, still. Completely in the dark. Please let me know if something changes for you after your appointment.

Anyone status still showing "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case" on USCIS website after year?
Yep, and I have done biometrics on the 11th. The new site says case received. I’m guessing we’re in the batch that will not receive any online notifications at all.

I also received the biometrics letter today for 6/11 from CSC. I filed with a waiver on 5/22/18, NOA 6/13/18.

My Green card arrived today in the mail, I'm so relieved and excited (we filed in the beginning of March). I'm so grateful to this forum, and all the help I received here! So thank you, everyone.
A couple of takeaways that might be useful for others:
- we sent our application without the vaccination sheet, and I did not have a copy of my overseas medical, either. I did include a note on the cover letter explaining that I received all the required vaccines and they should have my medical on file. I did include a copy of the little WHO booklet. I don't know if any of this mattered or made a difference, but we were approved without an RFE or interview.
- we did not include any additional proof, just sent the required documents
- case status never updated to ready for interview, all of a sudden just got the approval text
- I haven't been receiving email updates, only text messages (unlike before)
Congratulations again to everyone who had good news on their EAD/AP or Green card, and the best of luck for all those who are still waiting. See you all in two years!

Hey there, first of all, congratulations!
Just a few things I learned as part of the process that I wanted to share.
- There might be another cost - medical exam/vaccination sheet filled in by a civil surgeon. It is something we were not initially calculating with, and there was a lot of confusing information about it everywhere on the internet. If your fiance received a full medical exam as part of the K1 procedure, and got all the required vaccines, USCIS should have her records on file, as she will hand them over to the immigration officer at the PoE. If you have a copy of the vaccination sheet from her overseas medical, you can send that with your AoS application. Otherwise, you might need a transcript from a civil surgeon in your area. The cost of it depends on where you live and what the civil surgeon charges, where we live they were insisting on redoing the full medical for 400 dollars. So in the end we sent in our AoS without a vaccination sheet, hoping USCIS will look for the records from my overseas medical and not send an RFE, and it seems to have worked
Later on when you are dealing with the AoS forms, this will make more sense.
- I only applied for SSN after getting married, and got it issued to my married name right away. It seemed more practical this way, and I have not had any issues because of it, just saved us another trip to the SSN office.
- We were only able to open a joint bank account once I had a DL
-
Woohoo! Case status for AoS just changed to card being ordered

So I got on the line with tier 2 again yesterday because it's been three weeks since request for service due to never getting the ead card that was approved 4/28 was closed and a notice was sent. Which I never got. Thi s guy gave me a totally different story. Card was produced on 4/28 but did not print out the biometrics. Never sent for a second production. He will put in a request which will be completed in about 60!!!!days!!! If the biometric doesn't print this time production will be cancelled and start all over with new date for biometrics. What the hell! I asked if it could be expedited and he said no because it was all ready approved. I asked if they could just send the approval with the ead number so he can apply for ssn or driver license. Nope. I am so frustrated. I called congressmen and they said they would open a case a week ago. Nothing. Grrrt
So sorry to hear this, sounds awful! Fingers crossed that the congressman can get it sorted out. If I were you, I would probably try and call back again and talk to another tier 2 as the information you are getting is very conflicting and maybe a more helpful person can actually do something about it.... USCIS does have some ridiculous processes that a competitive business could never pull off.

Looks like the RFIE Ireceived did slow down my progress. Have it the approval mark but nothing since then. In fact they reopened the I-765 a day after it was approved. No online update but fun receive an email to that affect.
Guessing I will be one if the slowest March filers I think.
Don't worry, haha. I'm still dreading an RFE for medical, and my AOS had absolutely no updates and seems not to have been touched since it was accepted.
-
Thank you for both of your replies! I am going to wait another week before calling - but as it stands, neither my EAD or my GC have been approved yet
I seem to be the only moron that didn't apply for a SSN because I was unaware of the time frames. I suppose my own ignorance is coming to bite me, but I really hope this does not delay the process.
Does anyone know if your SSN is given to you on the day, but the paperwork takes 2 weeks to come through? I have heard mixed reviews but now I am stuck over here with no bank account having to use my UK account, no drivers license so I'm stuck in my apartment, and unable to work
It is so frustrating and I am certainly going crazy!
ALSO does anyone have any tips for getting a US drivers license? I do not have a UK drivers license as I have not yet learnt how to drive.
1) You don't get your SSN on the spot, but it is mailed to you afterwards. Mine took about a week.
2) I'm in the same shoes as you are about the drivers license. Here in Texas you need to complete an online course, then you can apply for a learner's/temp license, you have to drive X hours with a qualified driver in the right seat, then you need to take a test. In my case, I got to have the temp license once I was able to prove I live in Texas (letters from USCIS, SSN, marriage certificate, etc.), but it was only valid until my I-94 expired (90 days after entry). I could renew it now in theory as I received my EAD, but EAD isn't in the system due to USCIS not updating it. You can research the subject on your local DMV website, but I would imagine it to be very similar.
-
Congrats to everyone on recent approvals!
Just to add another 'fun fact': I have my EAD card in hand for almost two weeks now, but as it's not in the system yet, the DMV is unable to verify it and I can't renew my drivers license. The are doing some sort of a second verification through Austin, which I should receive a letter about at some point in time in the faaaar distant future. (Not to mention not even getting job interviews...) I have dreams about getting my old job back in Hungary, haha. Don't remember feeling so stuck and useless my entire life.
-
Aaaand... my combo card was in the mail today! Soooo happy and relieved
I hope everyone else gets their soon too.
-
Another miracle! Case update just came through stating his I-485 is approved ??? No interview.
That's awesome
Congratulations!

Just got a notification from the online tracker saying case was updated, now my EAD says new card was ordered on 4th May. It's a little strangely worded, but I'm guessing EAD was approved and card is now in production.
AP still did not update, even though I received the approval notice in the mail. EAD seems to have been approved before AP, and still haven't received anything about that lol... It's a strange system!
-
Does anybody have an idea why we would only receive the AP and not the combo card or approval of the EAD the same time? From what I can see, most people got their approval notices on the same day for both. I was hoping to receive the EAD notice today, but nothing in the mail and I'm starting to make up some crazy conspiracy theories in my head lol. It's really horrible that the online tracker shows absolutely no updates and that USCIS customer service has no idea about the actual status of the cases... It just adds so much more insecurity to this whole daunting process. (rant over, sorry)

Hey guys, I need help please!
Like I have mentioned before, I filed I-130 for my parents who also filed I-485 and I-765. My dad's EAD had been approved already, but mom's hasn't. Both are "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" but I also know that the Newark local office is very backlogged, so I'm almost sure they won't be getting an interview appointment anytime soon. Problem is that they were offered two tickets to Portugal to go visit my grandparents and they did not submit I-131( advanced parolee).
Can we submit it now that everything has been sent already?
If yes, will they have to do fingerprints again?
Also, what should I mention on the explanation on I-131 form? The only "emergency" is that they might lose those tickets and also the fact that my grandparents are getting very old. Will that work?
Thanks in advance!!
Hi there, I'm not very familiar with the non K1 procedure, so apologies if I'm not giving you the right answers - I'm sure somebody will be kind enough to correct me if I got something wrong. As far as I know, you can send in the AP application later on as well, with reference to the pending AoS, and you don't need to give a lot of detail about the purpose (look at the example forms on this site for more info). The AP should go through within 3 months. Also, they don't take fingerprints for AP, only for EAD and AoS.
-
Just got the AP approval notice in the mail, dated 5 May. Updates were not showing on the website, at all, and no text msg either. But wheeeeere is the EAD?! :'(
-
Well... I just tried calling them to see if there's been an update on our case as I was worried I did not receive something in the mail and the online tracker is not showing updates since March 22. Apparently they are not aware of any issues with the tracker and they are providing information based on that
So either their customer service reps have no idea that there's anything wrong with the tracker, or it's (officially) working, haha.
-
I'm trying to do the same and it's definitely helping. The problematic part though is most of the jobs where you have to apply online require you to answer the question "Are you authorized to work for any employer in the US?" and when I say no to that, I'm pretty sure my application just goes to the trash bin :'( I hope many of us will hear something this week, and that it will be good news! Congrats to everyone who got their GC or EAD!
Congratulations!!! I hope you had an amazing double celebration and now you should enjoy the anxiety-free life
For those who are really anxious, I have found that focusing on job hunting has helped me get my mind out of this USCIS waiting game. I highly recommend workshops at American Job Centers (they are all across the country), they are free, helped me adjust to the American job market, made me feel more confident to get my dream job, and overall it felt good to dress professionally and have appointments outside of home/gym/grocery shopping routine.
I have been interviewing and the whole hiring process take so long, by the time I get an offer, my EAD will be here already. -
same here, I have them both, uscis website and the app... yet I still check the mailbox and the website 24/7, I really should stop since it's driving me crazy haha
same here as well... sometimes I manage to convince myself the website would send me a notification if anything changed, so I don't need to look myself every two seconds, but after a few minutes I check anyway.

Yours and my husbands timelines are very close. On the biometrics appointment letter which service center was listed? Did it come from the National Center or your local office? I will be following your timeline as well.
I just looked and it says NBC. Do you think that means anything? (At least I know who's sitting on the application, haha).

Hi, we received the letter Saturday the 23rd of April. His biometrics was done on the 8th of April. The letter was dated about the 18th of April. Our case shows the last time being updated on March 24th.
The letter wasn't an RFE, but just stating that we didn't submit the medical Form and we will eventually have to do so, by either turning in at interview or by responding to an RFE by sending form in then- if we get waived for an interview. So, I continue to check throughout the day on the website to see if there are any updates. I just am not appreciative that after paying for one medical we must pay for another. My husband isn't even able to work yet to help support us and chip in to the bill. Oh well- I pray his EAD comes ASAP at least.
Hope this has answered your questions. PM me if you would like more information.
Thank you. Well, I guess that is good and bad news and looks like if they do lose the medical and make us re-do it, at least it won't delay the EAD process. Let me know if anything progresses for you and the best of luck with the whole process. We have similar timelines and we're both in Texas (although different field office), so I'll make sure to look out for your updates.
-
We didn't technically get an RFE yet, but we got a notice to applicant in mail stating we didn't send in his medical form. We sent DS3025- should have gotten the medical from POE.
Hi there, may I ask when you received the letter? Was it before or after the biometrics, and was it explicitly requesting you to re-do the medical? We still haven't received anything yet, and I'm just scared we will get a last minute RFE that will delay the EAD process (I reaaaaally miss work). We could not send in any medical/vaccination sheets as they forgot to give me one as part of my overseas medical and neither the doctor, nor the embassy kept copies... All civil surgeons in the area wanted to do a full medical and re-administer all the vaccines, or would have charged 250+ dollars for transcribing my vaccination info to the other form. As far as I know I received all the required vaccines and there were no issues with my medical, decided to "risk" it and hope USCIS has my records on file. I keep looking at timelines and some of those with NOA dates after us have already received RFEs, and it's been almost two weeks since our biometrics, so I'm not sure whether that's a reason to be hopeful, haha.

You're fine
I also got my appointment letter and the questionnaire back with a comment that it contains personal information so I should have it.

Thank you, I filed on 5/22/18. Noa 6/13/18. Biometrics on 6/11/19 (by the way, only the old website updated and only now that the card was ordered. Until now it couldn’t even find the case, while the new site is stuck on case received. Neither of those updated after biometrics).
Case number is wac18200xxxx.
