My AOS interview is 2nd week next month. So we are planning to stay in this state for a while after that interview is over. But I badly need to move to Florida for work issues for 6 months and my husband will stay here since he has a business here. Does it affect my background check? coz we will not live together for 6 mos.

i just applied for ssn last week and same time received rfe for aos. the lady at the ssn office told us it will just take 10 days to get my ssn id on mail. but im worried because of the rfe we got for the aos

i came here on a k3 visa and now on the process of EAD and green card. in all those documents i am still using my maiden name even if i will file for ssn. is it okay to stick to my maiden name coz i dont want then hassles of name change

I'm nearing the end of my day here at work and found myself daydreaming about some of the interesting things I've had to explain to Marlene (Philippines) about the U.S.

1. Deciduous trees. Why we don't cut them down when the leaves all fall off.

2. annual vs. perinneal flowers ... and why we can't put most of them outside in Oklahoma in February.

3. The government actually refunding overpaid taxes.

4. Why manicures are $25 - $35 instead of $4

5. Same reason why the taxi is $25 instead of $1

6. Same reason why a 60 minute massage is $125 instead of $15

7. Distances ... we drove to see my mother .... it was 700 miles but just in the next state.

i just came few days ago (from Philippines) and its bothers me a bit knowing that government system here is somewhat same as ours. I applied for OK state ID with K3 and they denied my application since they asked for my maiden name to be changed with my husband's. It made my husband really pissed off. We went to the other office (JEnks)and without questions I got it

i got interviewed for k3 march 20. they go mt passport and said everthing's fine just wait for their call. 3 weeks passed still no news. saturday, my husband got notice from NVC of our 130 forwarded to same embassy with my k3. is that the cause of the delay? but we prefer k3 coz of lots of hassle with 130. my husband received i-864 affidavit of suppport. does he need to file it again if we already submitted the 134 to the embassy here plus my medical and originals

I don't know what the problem is with your K3, but I do know that if you want to go with that, you should not submit the I-864 before your K3 is issued. An immigration lawyer told me yesterday, that the consulate has the authority to cancel your K3 once they see that the CR1-IR1 is coming down the line, they do not have to consult with you.

thanks for the info. i think my husband needs to call them and ask whats the real score. but the consulate here has the authority to issue cr1 they are doing consular processing. it gets me nuts cause im not working anymore since 3wks ago they told me it will just take a week. they called me again for preliminary interview about our relationship.almost 15 questions about my husband, is that for the cr1 or still part of the k3

yah i think counsular interview is a nuts. they interviewesd me on the 20th march, consul said after 1 week ill get my visa then 2weeks passed still no news my husband called them. they asked me to come to the embassy for another interview, marriage fraud interview! i cant believe it but i did well and the consul said in just 3days ill get the visa. now a week passed still no news
