I don't know what paperwork is in the K-3 package. But once you send it off make sure you stay on top of it make sure they get it I had to fax my paperwork four times before they said they received it. I got a date for my husbands interview a week later. And as for the interview I wouldn't worry about it, it is so easy and the people are really nice. As long as you have the paperwork you will be fine. They didn't even ask for some of the paperwork like my birth cert. and didn't pay attention to my affidavit of support because I didn't make enough taxable money but had paperwork stating I make more and they didn't even ask for it. Yeah that number is useless if you ever want to get in contact with someone at the consulate you have to e-mail them. I started my process in June and after I got my packet 3 I faxed all the required paperwork back and a week later my husbands interview was scheduled but had to reschedule for Oct. I have been having really good luck with the consulate. Hopefully it stays that way good luck.

[The first time the consulate sent me my package 3 they sent it to me by mail. But they sent it to the wrong address after not receiving it I contacted them and sent it to me by e-mail.

- I-864 Affidavit of Support

- I-864A Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member

- I-864P Poverty Guidelines

- I-865 Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address

I AM ALSO IN THE MILITARY AND I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE CONSULATE IN NAPLES SAID AS LONG AS I HAVE DOCUMETS STATING THAT I MAKE MORE THAN I CLAIMED ON YOUR TAXES THAT I WOULD BE FINE AND SHOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM. JUST PRINT OUT YOUR LES AND TAKE THEM WITH YOU THEY SHOW HOW MUCH YOU MAKE WITH ALL YOUR EXTRA PAY. I WOULD THINK THAT MOST CONSULATES WOULD BE THE SAME. LET ME KNOW IF YOU FIND OUT BECAUSE I MIGHT HAVE TO TRANSFER MY HUSBAND'S INTERVIEW TO MOROCCO.

Dont call them or you will never get an answer. You can fax them or e-mail them I am going through Italy and I e-mail to the same lady everytime and she is very good about getting me an answer within 1 day. Good luck I hope you get a hold of someome.

i finally got my interview date. i faxed the consulate my affidavit of support paperwork and a week later I e-mailed the consulate and the same day got a response saying my interview is in September.

I had to get the same paperwork I just went to PSD and asked for an affidavit of service it only took 2 day and it was ready. If they do it here they have to do it where ever you are stationed at.

I just got an e-mail yesterday saying that my interview was scheduled for September they called me yesterday morning at work but was not around to take the call. I have read so many bad reviews about the consulate in Naples yes it is hard to talk to someone on the phone but everytime I e-mailed the consulate the same lady replied within 2 days. I have just started my paperwork in Jun06 and I thought I would be waiting forever. if anyones got any advise for the interview please let me know. Thanks

I am living in Italy and trying to get my husband a visa to go back with me. I leave Italy in about 3 months. I sent in the I-130 paperwork and on 29Jun06 received a notice of approval less then a week later. A couple of weeks went by and I got nothing else sent to me so I faxed a letter asking what I need to go next the lady at the consulate wrote back the next day and said they sent the packet 3 to me on 03Jul06. But they sent it to the wrong mailing address they sent it to government housing. I wrote them and they e-mailed me the packet. I have faxed that required paperwork and now just waiting on a letter for the interview date. She said it would take a couple of weeks and I should have it

I am a US citizen, resident in Italy, with my wife, who is an Italian citizen.

I wanted to see if anyone could give us some pointers regarding scheduling our interview in Naples for the IR-1/CR-1.

We have submitted the I-130 to Rome and are awaiting word back on its approval.

Our question is mainly this: how long after Naples receives information from Rome does it take them to notify you of your interview date and send you packet 3? And, when they finally send you that information, how far in advance, in general, would the interview date be? Are we looking at a wait of two months or six months or more?

Also, I've seen some posts regarding the difficulty of contacting the consulate in Naples (they are yet to answer my emails, for example). Any advice on how to speak to someone there? Number I should call? I found this one on the site for those with case numbers (081 583 8111). Any other numbers I should try?
