My daughter already has her US Passport and Passport Card but to be safe i would like to apply for her certificate of citizenship.

Question***   N600 form is asking for information based out of her green-card  should i respond everything even if she holds a US passport already ? 

we no longer have her green-card it was never return after she received her US passport and is making very complicated to answer all the N600 questions.

Really??? Did you get any email before that or anything like that? I also paid the fee before I left my country and tomorrow it'll be 1 month since I'm in US

Getting the GC that early would be great! Tho, the officer told me it'll take 3 to 6 months to get it.

Hello everyone, just an update. My wife arrived on Dec 22nd and we had a good time spending Christmas together even though she had a fever from her trip for a few days after arriving. Congrats to everyone for finishing your journey or moving closer to it.

Question, especially for this group. Does anyone know if a social security card is sent to us automatically as a cr-1 immigrant if we selected that option? Or do we have to apply at the local social security administration office? Anyone, have their ss number yet?

my daughter's ss card just arrive today it took 8 days after POE, still waiting for my wife's SS and green cards.

passports with visas and HUGE envelope picked up yesterday, family traveling Sunday night !!!

visa approved yesterday, whole process took less that 2 hours very quick and easy, just make sure to take all the documents because they might or they might not ask you for them, on my wife's case they checked every single one but no problems, easy questions very polite and friendly.

they also said that passport might take up to 2 weeks to be ready. i hope they don't take any extra time because i bought tickets already.

@kmurcia I'm not sure. I remember reading that it could take around 1-2 weeks for Colombia, depending where you are getting it sent to (my husband lives in Cartagena). I'm trying to figure that out too....I think we're not going to buy any tickets until he has the visa in hand in case there are any delays...

my wife lives in bogota, i assume it will be faster, i hope !....

some say a couple days but I'm not really sure, I'm just trying to figure out our holidays here in the states.

Congratulations to everyone on your Case Complete updates !!

I have been waiting for my IV bill for the last 2 months. I still did not get my IV fee invoice. Already raised a supervisor review request and 42 days has been completed and still not received my IV Bill. Now they say that they have again forwarded a request to supervisor and it can take upto 42 days. Last week I received checklist for DS-260. Since I didn't get my IV bill, I'm not able to submit DS 260.

This is so frustrating and am starting to lose hope. Can anyone please guide me on what I can do now ?

keep calling until the right agent answers the phone and is willing to help you. i know they can do it but is just a matter of how's on the phone.

a few times when a called they didn't wanna help but one time i got lucky and the agent put me on hold and call a supervisor and fix it immediately.

We got a checklist on 2nd of October, cause they managed to lose my police certificates and my bitrth certificate, which i'm 120% sure we sent. But oh well... Then they put us on supervisor review on the 4th of October but we were told that is better to re-send the missing documents. Which we did. That's why we got a new scan date. Hopefully this time is going to be alright, cause i'm exhausted!

same happen to me, they lose my daughters documents not all of them but most, now after 7 weeks I'm still waiting for approval, last Friday they "said"that is waiting for a supervisor review and it can take up to 45 days,

best luck for you meanwhile i will keep calling every other day.

i have the received documents letter for my daughter but i didn't receive one for my wife and after calling, they confirm that my wife's documents arrive on 8/31.

is this normal?

some how I'm worried about not getting written confirmation for both cases.

Thanks for the advice, we were told it was being sent to a supervisor, is that the same as a service request? We are going to call NVC in the morning to check and see whether they have dealt with it yet or not, so if that's a different thing I'll be sure to request it.

is different the operator explained to me as a software issue, he knew exactly what it was and he was right because a couple days after the request it show as paid.

Just an update here for fellow Feb filers.

We have paid all fees and completed all forms online and sent off our IV and AOS packages on Tuesday. My husband called NVC yesterday to see if they had received them, and good thing he did because they don't have it marked that they have received our IV fees for any of our 3 cases. The man on the phone said he would send that to a supervisor to be sorted out as the money has left my husband's account. He seemed to think it would be easy to fix and that we shouldn't have any delays because of it, but we'll probably call back next week to check on it.

He also said that our documents weren't in the system yet but that they should be by Monday. However, I had emails this morning for all of our cases to say they have been received on the 9th September and that we should allow 30 days from then for the documents to be reviewed.

So it all seems to be moving along, keep smiling everyone, we are all getting closer!

i had the same problem they took the IV fees money from my bank but the system never updated you need to tell them to fix it, is a system error.

after they put a service request for me it only took 48 hours to show as paid.

make sure they put a service request.

I'm sorry you went through that. I was also in doubt... we need to treat them as separate cases and send duplicate documents indeed.

Do you think they'll issue you a checklist? Or are you sending everything immediately?

The good news is that after your wife's case is CC, you'll have better leverage to ask them to look at your daughter's. In my case, my impression is that only reviewing my documents was enough - after I got my CC, the only thing pending on my daugther's case was the DS-260 review. It took us a few attempts, but we eventually reached a supervisor and they released her case in a couple of minutes.

I'm not really sure about my wife because they told me that i should not mention my daughter on my wife's affidavit form but since they have her documents since august 31 ill wait for them to review it and hope for no checklist.

today i called nvc to have an update and after taking for a while to a really nice lady this came up.

1) they only have a scanned date (8/31/2015) for my wife not for my daughter, the reason i send all paperwork together wife & daughter same envelope , solution send a new package for my daughter. (they are treat as individual cases)

2) I must not mention my daughter on my wife's i864. ( already send it so i CAN NOT FIX IT ) because they are treat as individual cases.

3) because my wife lived in different countries other than Colombia she will need police clearance from them. (i already knew ) we just waiting for them, hopefully we can show them at the interview so we i don't have to send them to NVC and wait for them to review it.

It seems like a long way to go before all this is over...

people please double and triple check everything if you are not sure call NVC for instructions.

I was really lucky and got my CC only 10 days after sending my documents - but now I'm waiting for my daughter's. They told me our cases will be merged before they send it for interview.

The NVC is working a lot faster now - most people get their CCs within 20 days lately.

Have you checked on dwheels spreadsheet how long it takes for the embassy in Colombia from CC to interview? In Brazil it takes around 60 days.

two weeks after CC to scheduled interview and 4 weeks to interview.....

The same happened to me and my daughter. The excuse for not giving CC to her as well is because they say they can't see her IV fee, even though it shows as PAID on CEAC's webpage and I finished her DS-260.

Can you take a screenshot of the transaction in which the money was taken from your account?

I recommend you call NVC with it on Tuesday and ask them what you can do next.

I called them yesterday the lady said that is normal to take up to 7 working days, after i explain to her about my daughter she told me not to worry that it should appear by Wednesday, she also told me that they receive my package on august 28, do you know how long does it take to get a CC after they receive all the documentation? I'm hoping to have my family here before my job relocation on oct 31.

ok guys, last Friday i paid IV fee for my wife and as today still shows processing, but this week Wednesday i paid IV fees for my daughter and they show paid and i have access for DS-260, any opinion? should i keep waiting or give them a call?
