  1. Hi All.

My file was received at CSC April 25th and 2 weeks after that i received my "120 day reminder" to file our removal of conditions but on this it says in a red stamp on the bottom " Action completed, filing approved"

i was wondering what you guys thought this meant? Does that mean they have received my package? Our check hasn't been cashed and no NOA received.

    Thanks for any responses!

  2. Hi AngelaSimmons,

OMG your EAD got approved? Soo happy for you, we have a very close timeline in LI!!

I was wondering if you got the news over text/email/status update online?

I still can't check any of my cases # ("Not Recognized"), no RFE, no news since my biometrics appointment almost 2 months ago...

I put a SR on my 75th day, and no news on that side either... I'm going bonkers here!!

We are about the same timeline and we are in the exact same boat! No info since biometrics and put in a service request at day 75 and haven't heard anything can't see my stuff online ?

  3. I received an RFE because I did not provide a lot of detail on the social media website I met my fiancé on. I think it would be wise to let them know that you met on Skout and that it is a social media website and not a marriage broker site (extremely important!)/ I even submitted a Wikipedia description of the site I met my fiancé on and included my profile page and his profile page. Remember there are so many different sites out there and ways to meet people online. the difference is that IMB sites need permission to share your fiancés information with you where as social media sites do not. I personally believe that more is better in this instance. Go from where you met how it escalated and the events that led to you meeting in person to establish the engagement. That way at least you are covered. each person is different at USCIS so you never know what they would want and would not. But one thing for certain is that the question 34 is to determine an IMB service or not. Some people have simply put we met on such and such website and that seemed to suffice. For others including me not so much! give them details that way there is not a shadow of doubt that you have satisfied one of the most common RFE's out there (Circumstances of meeting). it delayed me only a week but still that was a week more taken out of my process. Good luck on your journey and hope you find this information helpful.

So when you got the rfe you submitted the Wikipedia page? We don't have our profiles anymore

  4. My fiancé and I met on Skout too. I stated that then went on to describe our actual face to face meeting. Just to be safe and avoid an RFE I also attached a Wikipedia page explaining what kind of website Skout is and showing that it's not an IMB.

So you just printed out the Wikipedia page about skout and that was ok?! - you dont need anything from their website? Did you put that in your cover letter to show that information was in there? Where did you place it in your packet?

Thank you that is so helpful!

  5. Hi All.

I am in the process of getting my k1 packet together and I have read so much about how to answer the circumstances under which you met. Some say keep it short and sweet 2-3 line and some say write out a paragraph including if you met online

I was wondering my fiancé and I met on a social networking app called Skout and met in person after 6 months of constant skyping and chatting. I was just wondering how to word my paragraph?

Any advice or help would be much appreciated! I have read so many different forums on this and am so confused. Thanks!
