2 weeks after response to 2nd RFE form I-693,

I-485 approved Sept 9, No interview ?

Now I can relax .. Thank God ?? .

They transferred my case to a case worker in FL and also receive RFE for medical examination and vaccination, I mailed a response to my case worker in FL .. Hopefully they make a decision on my case soon.

Form I-695 deadline date is September 17 but I mailed it a week after I receive the notice.

Definitely try it! It's really worth it, if possible. You don't have to have your passport with you etc., but just by the way, I drove before getting my american one. I just used my Czech one. I never got pulled over, so not sure if it's allowed, but we have no public transportation here, so I'd have to be at home all the time..

Same here, i have been driving with my international DL till i got into a minor motor accident, i had a fair judgement with the fines

they asked me to get a US drivers license like asap , so i have to avoid driving till i am able to acquire the a US license.

One more thing, Please how do i go about getting the I-94 ?

I actually talked about my experience, because I was trying to encourage others to get theirs, but I got replies that it unfortunately depends on the state you live in. For me, I needed to bring my I-94, SSN, a proof of my address, and passport. I had to pass the vision test, written exams and driving exams. I went to the main office, but they redirected me to another one for foreigners where they checked if I had all documents right and then went back to the main one. It was actually very easy and I got the driver's license in the day of applying.

i have all but only the I-94

Any idea if that is necessary now or how do i go about getting I-94 since i am waiting on EAD/GC soon

its confusing but if i can, i will like to give it a shot and go for the driving license just the way you did

Please i would like to know how you went about getting a US driving license before your AOS application goes through

i'm on day 65 with my AOS application, still waiting after i sent RFE package to chicago, application might take a bit longer

i have a court deadline to get my US driving license , so i was thinking if there are other option to get the driving license without GC/EAD card

i will appreciate a reply to know if there are open options to acquire a US driving license with other identification documents

Please I need an urgent advise before I go crazy. I'm so confused and worried. My fiancé went for his interview October 3rd. He was told to provide / submit another affidavit of support along with his passport. It's been over 3weeks since he dropped off his passport and affidavit support, and our case status went from AP to READY but on October 6th our status didn't change but the date changed to October 6th and now October 23rd. So our case status is still the same which is "READY"

However, we sent lagos IV US consulate lagos Nigeria an email for an update on our case but we never got a response on case status ( but got an automated reply that they received the email). My fiancé went to the dhl office on Monday ( October 26th) e was told his passport was not ready. We sent another email on Tuesday ( October 27th) got a response stating " according to our records, you were contacted via email on October 15th to return to the U.S. Consulate on October 23rd but you didn't turn up for the appointment. We would contact you shortly with another date. "

My fiancé never got an email stating he need to come for another interview. We've checked our junk , spam , inbox ... Nothing !!

Why would they state they sent an email when they never sent anything.

Has anyone ever gone through this? Pls I need an urgent advise cuz I'm deeply confused and worried.

I'm so so so so so sorry to hear this. I can't imagine what you're going through right now but try and take your time to rethink before making any decisions and its outcomes. However, if you decide to move fwd I'll advice not to re-file for k1. Maybe file for cr1 ( I'm not sure) . Either way, just take your time to think deep. I wish u all the best in whatever decision you make.

Please help: AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT QUESTION !!!!!

My fiancé interview is in 3weeks and we're yet to get someone for affidavit of support. However, I got someone yesterday that's willing to help but she has a criminal background ( a misdemeanor) she was asked to pay a monetary fine months back ( which she did) ( it's a less petty/minor crime) . She is currently off probation.

Now this is where it get sorta complicateD.......

She applied for her citizenship months back, went for her interview last week which she passed but they told her the misdemeanor is still on her record so she will have to be on probation ( meaning, she will have to wait till December ) for her to swear in and get her naturalization certificate/ apply for American passport.

( FYI: she has her green card which is fine. she has a good job and makes quite amount of money)

My question now is, can we still use her as a support because of her criminal background or it doesn't matter since she's not the one going for the interview and it was a minor offense ???

Am a newbie here..don't know if this is the right forum to post this question. Our k1 petition was approved over a month ago ..have been trying to get through to NVC in other to ask about my number ...i don't know if my case had been sent to Lagos consulate office for the past weeks I can't get hold of NVC .the number keeps going off ..I can't seem to talk to anyone and if I check my case status online it's been the same status all this while . What do I do ? Is this happening to anybody ? Do I just contact my consulate about my case or what ? I'll be so glad if anyone can help me . Thank you .
