  1. Hi again just thinking now.. I read for the australian embassy instructions for packet 3 and it asks for 'application readiness' and asks for AOS etc to be submitted.... then I read that packet 4 gives you the interview date, which means its assigned after you submit the documents...so then i am thinking that means I should mail over those documents to my fiance ASAP...?

I went ahead and gathered my employer letter and bank info last week. I figured since I'm a salaried employee and well above the poverty line, it really didn't matter when I got that stuff.

I did order a tax transcript which should arrive later this week. Once I get that,I'll just sign my new letter of intent and get that all in the mail to Luanda.

Now I'm just trying to light some fire in my procrastinating fiancé to take care of his docs. In my heart, I could see this interview being late August, early sept.

Hm, OK, so I guess I should probably just start working on this ASAP then. Thanks so much for your input. I stupidly forgot to make a copy of our I-129F, so that has been especially annoying, since I didn't do it in a very organized fashion in the first place. Do you know if we have to take another more recent passport photo of ourselves, or is it just the beneficiary who has to do that?

  2. I have a question about preparing documents. VJ's timeline says the petitioner should be gathering documents to send to the beneficiary for the interview, but it says that the letters and documents should be dated closer to the interview date. So, should I hold off completing the forms (and getting a letter from my bank and employer) until our case has reached the consulate, or is it okay to date the letters a month or so before the interview? What are you all doing?

  3. Just joined visa journey, but have been stalking this thread for a while, so I feel like I am one of you already. Fiance and I submitted our visa application on 5/18/2015, got the NOA1 on 5/26/2015, and just got the NOA2 on 7/8/2015 just as we were parting ways again. It made the journey back home more bearable. Hear is to hoping for a speedy NVC processing. :)
