  1. What I would do is put all your evidence on a disk or thumb drive and take with you , most do not get the notices until after a year so plan ahead. You need to visit to keep your marriage strong because this is a long fight. There is a typical list of things they usually ask for I would get it ready leave the list of things with the congressman to submit for you, my congressman here in California offered to do it for me. So you need to ask if they will help to submit documents or as a last resort take everything with you and submit from where you are. But visit take photoessays and enjoy your husband

  2. Go look at Ebunolwna post, mine is in review been there 16 months now , my congressman made several inquiries, they don't even look at them until they been here 12 months is what we were told ours made it back on march 1 2016 so we pray march they will pick it up again, ours took 7 months to get back to uscis so to keep your congressman informed as he can keep tabs and get it to your correct place sooner , ours was in Nebraska for a bit then sent back to ca . Niece found then time started ?. Visit often it's necessary because the wait is very hard.

  3. My congressman inquired and he said he was told it actually takes a year from the time the uscis gets it back until they start to work on the case again so ours was received march 1 after being lost and reappeared after a diversion to Lincoln Nebraska, so it's been 16 months now from the time of interview but it will be three more months before they start on it. So really they do have a time line they follow but they don't tell you . The congress man got the information all I ever got was it's not got any time frame they work with. Your correct I think two years are normal because if done in march then returned it will be august again before we get appointment I'm guessing.

  4. Sorry for those making negative remarks, I live in the valley area , Stockton Ca. I really would like to offer my friendship as I am sure when my husband comes from Ghana he will need some friends also and I hope others will be helpful and friendly. I am hoping your transition to the USA will go easier soon. I'm sure your accent is beautiful as I think my husbands is. Keep meeting new people and you will find true gems here in ca.
