hello, I had my interview today. My question is, did your AOS get approved on the spot? or did they ask you to wait the result in the mail?

I had my interview today. It went well. The guy who interviewed us was nice and friendly. But At the end of the Interview, he said that he need to review our paper works one more times and he said that the result will be in the mail in about 2 weeks. Has the same thing ever happened to anyone? And i had no idea about this welcome letter. i have never received one. Could anybody explain to me please..

You dont have to worry. They will not reject your application straight away. You will receive RFE. Then you can send the documents they ask for. It happen to me too. I did not send the complete evidence for my Affidavit, and I received mail asking for evidence. About couple of weeks later, we sent the paper work they asked for. And today was our interview. We will get the result soon in the mail. Hope that will encourage you

God bless you all guys on your applications and on your weddings. I just had an interview for my AOS today. We lodged our Applications last July 2015. So it only took us just under 4 months for the whole process. Our interview was really relax and the guy who interview us was friendly. He said that our marriage is bonafide by looking at the paper works that we gave him. And at the end of the interview, he said we will get the result in the mail in a couple of weeks. It was not as hard as i expected. All the best to you guys..

I came to USA on a K1 visa last April and we Got married May 31st.

Now we are preparing for AOS paper works. Any idea and help will be appreciated. Right now i am filling up I485 and they asked me my Alien Registration Number. Where can I find it on my K1 visa??
