Dear forum members, I think some have been in a similar situation and hope will be able to answer this question.
I attended an IR-1 visa interview in London on April 14. I didn't register on usvisa-info.com before the interview,
since it wasn't mentioned in the NVC letter. At the interview they told me I should register with the courier in their building
instead, which I did. I paid a fee and got a tracking number.
My case was put in AP. After a month of waiting I requested my passport back and received it.
After one more month they told me to send the passport for visa issuing.
To do that I had to go to usvisa-info.com and print a courier-in receipt.
Since I couldn't register my past appointment there, I couldn't print the receipt, however.
So, I just sent them passport with the courier without the receipt.
Now comes the question, how will I get the passport back once the visa is issued?
On usvisa-info.com I can't register the appointment, so I can't pay for delivery.
After almost 3 months in AP I just really don't want to have problems with the delivery.
Didn't register on usvisa-info.com before interview, passport delivery
in United Kingdom

At the Embassy I paid 8.85 GBP for home delivery.
And to send the passport to the Embassy the DX didn't charge anything. Delivery to a depot is free.
I actually expected to buy a two way delivery the second time, but they told me it wasn't an option.
