  1. If one is truly interested in knowing what is happening to the files around theirs, they can spend a little ‘down-time’ plugging the surrounding numbers into the My USCIS – Case Status Search page:

    https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

The first 9 digits of your NOA1 are a reference to your NOA1 date , (check your hard copy). You take it from there. For instance, my number begins with SRC159022, and all of the March 5th files happen to begin with those numbers (some dates have more than one)

    ~ [transition from SRC159022 to SRC159023 for example] ~

Adding the final 4 numbers makes for 9,999 possible combinations.

    Get busy.

I put SRC159022 on my clipboard, (highlight + ctrl + c) and proceeded to work my way through the possible combinations, beginning with my number, proceeding forward to SRC1590222999, and then backwards to SRC1590221500. As you can see (and do math in your head) that is a 1500 consecutive case file check. But, My Beloved one is 11,000 km away, and 13 hours out of sync, so I have some 'Down-time' to fill, especially on the weekends.

After each status check, put your cursor in the blank, hit ctrl+v to drop your clipboarded first 9-digits, add the next number in the final-four sequence, and hit the ‘check status’ button.

There are many different types of files that use these Case numbers, but each time I came across one that was for both March 5th, and form I-129F, I wrote it down until I found all of the March 5th fiance’ visa files that are listed.

Now, you can download a free case file checker for your smart phone, ( I have Case Buddy ), or you can go back to the USCIS Case File page:

    https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

and register or logging in. There, you can input your data, to include your mobile number and email address. There is a place to input case files, and you can input many of them. I have 14 logged in. There is also a setting to receive an email alert, a mobile alert, or both, whenever one of your listed files changes status, like from Received to APPROVED.

So, if any of the March case file numbers around mine are disturbed, USCIS will notify me.

    Tah-Dah …..

That is a lot of manual work... you know ImmiFairy does this already fully automated? With ya know a computer :D

  2. No, I should have clarified. I mean if the foreign national *has* been to the US, perhaps that is an additional check that needs to be done. Like getting records from CBP. Maybe that takes time. My fiancé has never been to the US. Was unable to get a tourist visa. But no entries/exits to check.

In terms of proof of relationship being real....that's for the embassy. USCIS you just need to describe how you've seen each other at least once in the past 2 years. All additional evidence provided is "just in case" and to front load for the embassy stage.

Again, ZERO clue if this is right or not. Just clearing up my idea.

The lawyer who helped me prepare our application asked us to submit evidence of my fiance's I94s (US arrival records) from CBP, though this was not mentioned in any instructions from USCIS. They probably wanna see that if you've traveled to the US before that you have a good record, no overstays, etc. So, it's a good theory, because if you don't submit them USCIS would have to type your passport number into the CBP website (anyone can do this) to view your arrival records.

  3. Spoke to USCIS, they had a huge backlog of applications in first week of February, they are trying to push through it. If your file went through Vermont, you are most likely still waiting.

I'm sorry, but what are you talking about? That makes absolutely zero sense, and even if it did, you're posting for a different service center. Please be mindful before pushy others into a frenzied state.

  4. 185th day here.. just downloaded the tracker app, which means my obsession with checking has gotten worse haha - is anyone else trying to plan some kind of a wedding?

There are some good discussions on ImmiFairy about this:

    http://www.immifairy.com/forums/topic/has-anyone-set-a-wedding-date-yet/

    http://www.immifairy.com/forums/forum/family-marriage-based-us-visas/k-1-fiancee-visa/all-things-weddings/

  5. I'm January 30th. I can tell you that I have entered 1000 receipt numbers before mine and all the k1s in that thousand went through to dept of state except for a few rfes. They seems stuck right at me, lol...but maybe that is good news for February since I am the 30th!

Dude you manually enter 1000 receipt numbers? Damn! And I'm sorry about about that, you're seriously the only one that's in the received state? That's sucks... are you on ImmiFairy? If so I can share with you there how I've been messing around with the few received dates before and after mine to see what the patterns are. Just can't discuss here ;)

  6. haha

Is there a more concise list of approved cases compared to Igors K1 list? What can I see on there that I cant see on the lists here?

Yes... looks like Igor's list tracks around 600-700 cases from the backlog.

ImmiFairy, on the other hand, is tracking more than 10,000 cases and shows typically 10x (or even more) approvals per day than Igor's list. It also helps you see where your petition sits on the bell curve of those waiting to be adjudicated.

As I said, I find it helpful and the community on ImmiFairy is mostly K1s from TSC, so we have a lot of good discussions that can't be infiltrated by CSC noobs that are unknowingly insulting to our struggle haha...

  7. I can't feel bad for January filers getting approved, must be frustrating for them seeing February types getting approved.

Chin up, it will come through soon.

I guess that is true. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Can you view these reports on immifairy without paying?

No, it's a subscription service. But it's only 10 bucks a month... I spend more at Starbucks in a week lol. I think it's def worth it imho... At the end of the day, the small investment is worth at least checking it out.

  8. I might be mistaken, but I was under the impression it was illegal to add case numbes to your account that aren't your own. If I were you, I would remove those extra case numbers and be very cautious of doing so again.

You are mistaken. No need to scare people. Immigration lawyers, and families with multiple petitions, friends helping those dissect USCIS information, or petitioners curious about RNs in the same batch as their own add multiple case numbers all the time...

  9. After many positive reports about ImmiFairy (I~F) here on VJ, I finally Joined yesterday.

(Vwracer1 to those members here with 'Dual-Membership')

I spent several hours trying to sort out the methods to the Madness... Still have a few questions, but like a backlash on an open-faced fishing reel, with patience, it can be unraveled. Trying to extrapolate a NOA2 prediction here, v/s I~F, is like moving from fishing a pond to Deep-Sea Fishing... There is ALOT more data to sift thru. Fun for Some, Perplexing to Others.

However, for each of us, Our Appointed Day will arrive when it arrives. Nothing will accelerate the journey, so worrying about it will only impact your health. You are here, because you found someone special, and you have developed a relationship with them, that you wish to make permanent. SO, focus on that Gift, and Guard it Fiercely. Don't worry about the coming Day... just enjoy the ride.

    Be Blessed This Day

    Tom and SooGyeong

Hey Tom - You can post your data related questions in the Reports Forum on ImmiFairy and a mod will get back to you same day! Or via PM to a mod too... I've done that a few times and they're always quick to respond and understanding of your questions. It also gets easier to understand the reports the more of them you see, patterns emerge, etc.

  10. Does immifairy show the receipt numbers being processed? I want to try to understand their work habits.

Yes, individual timelines for more than 10k receipt numbers. And gives a percentage of completed applications by NOA1 month in graph/table form. Best visual, in my opinion though, is the month-by-month pie charts that show the percentage of applications that haven't been "touched" yet, gives you a better idea of how much a month has been worked on...this includes not only approvals, but RFEs etc.

  11. But is there any reason to think these are ahead of the earlier petitions, or have they, in fact, been approved? And were these accidental routings in early April, or have they continued through the present?

Sorry. I can't share that info outside of ImmiFairy :( , but you're more than welcome to sign up and take a look for yourself at the April TSC received dates and current statuses. We're discussing the data in a lot more detail over there.
