Because we've invested a great deal of time and money in the visa and want the option to live in the US within the next few years. I said no immediate intention to move, not no intention to ever move.

I understand that. I'm asking from the point of view of someone who already has an interview date and may want to live in the U.S. in the future, just not immediately,

To clarify, I mean if the applicant intends to enter the U.S. within 6 months of the medical but would return to their home country afterward to live indefinitely with occasional visits to the U.S.
We're nearing the end of the visa process but no longer sure we want to return to the U.S. to live in the near future.

What potential problems could arise when applying for a CR-1 visa with no immediate intentions to move to the U.S.? Would immigration authorities really care? Would it cause problems when visiting the U.S.?

This is the kind of response I was looking for, thanks. We live together and have co-mingled finances, etc - but all in Spain.
