  1. Hey, to those still waiting, i`m in the same boat with you guys. Getting a little anxious because of all the other people who have been approved now. I got that touch on the 19th like everyone else, but not a peep since. Getting more and more worried/anxious every day. We had a pretty standard AOS, there was a co sponsor and also we changed address after filing, but we`ve had mail from the USCIS since changing, so that shouldn`t be an issue anymore.

Very frustrating though when you are seeing people who filed a long time after you getting approved already. At what stage do we get really worried and think about trying to find anything out?

I just want to hear something!! How many people out there are still waiting? reply if you filed in July but are still waiting, i`d love to hear from anyone in the same boat.

Lets hope we all get some good news very soon.

    Take care everyone

    Paul

  2. Hey all, Congrats to you all that have gotten your approval and your green card in the mail, must be a great feeling.

I was just wondering how many July filers were still here with still being in the Initian Review section according to the USCIS website? I got my NOA for my AOS on the 16th of July, but have not heard much since, how many others are in the same boat? so far i can only find people who have got their green card, so i was just curious how many others are still waiting.

Let me know so i can feel a bit better if theres more than me still waiting!

look forward to hearing form anyone.

    Thanks

  3. HI there, i need some help on a topic. I recently came accross to the states on my K-1 visa and then i just filed for AOS. i have now got an appointment for my biometrics to be taken, so i will be going for that on the 12th of August.

My question though is this, i moved over here and my wife and i stayed with her parents while we got married and settled, so right now we are living in wisconsin with my wifes parents, however once i have my biometrics taken we will be moving to tennessee where my wife goes to college. So far everything we have filed has been done through her parents address, i have all my official mail delivered here, my question is, if we move to tennessee after the biometrics, do we need to file for a change of address if my mail would still be safely arriving at her parents? it is not an issue for it to arrive here as her parents will gladly forward any mail to us in tennessee, but i was wondering if i would get in trouble for moving states without letting them know?

I have read that changing addresses is a pain, i assume mainly because your stuff will often be delivered to your old address, but seeing as we don`t have the problem of losing our mail, do i still need to file as a change of address?

Also, we do not mind travelling back to do the interview in Wisconsin, so i am confused as to whether i should just leave things as they are, as they seem to be going along quite fast and smooth at the millwaukee office, or should i inform them of my change of address?

Also, does anyone know how to inform them of the change of address?

Any help at all would be really appreciated.

    thank you very much

  4. Hi there, i am currently getting ready to send in all my forms for AOS and EAD which i will send at the same time.

My question is, on the I-765 form, after it asks your name, it says:

Which USCIS office? and a date?

I was wondering what i put in there? do i just put the chicago office where i`m sending this too, or do i have a local office i need to put in, or do i just leave it blank? Please, anyone that can help, i would love some feed back as i can`t get this stuff sent without it.

Hope i hear from someone soon.

    Thanks a lot

    Paul

  5. Hi there, i was wondering if anyone can help me.

On the packet 3, it asks you for the date you have scheduled your medical for before you can send the checklist back. I live in the north of scotland, so going down to london is quite a big travel for me, so i was planning on waiting until i get the interview date and then scheduling the medical for the day before, so i could do both in one trip.

my question though, is does the embassy wait to hear back from your medical before they will schedule your interview? i haven`t heard back since posting in my packet 3 yet and i was justy worried that maybe they are waiting for me to take my medical before they will schedule me for my interview.

can anyone tell me if they know whether or not this is a factor? or do they just schedule the interview regardless of when the medical will be taken? is the medical even taken into consideration?

if anyone knows any information on this, or if anyone has had any experience with this, please let me know any advice or help would be really appreciated.

    thanks a lot.

  6. Hi, i see that in the past the I-134 document would need to be notarized. however when you go the the new form thats available from the USCIS.gov website, it gives no space for a notary and it doesn`t say anything about it needing to be notarized anymore. has this changed or will i need to have this document notarized?

it says in the instructions for the I-134 under "execution of affidavit" it states, "for this reason, it is not necessary to sign form I-134 before a notary, nor to have your signature notarzied after you have signed it."

please could anyone help if you know as i am needing to know as soon as possible.

i`d especially like to know if anyone has gotten through the interview without it.

    thanks very much

  7. Hi, can anyone help me here. i know that a lot of people get the medical in london scheduled for a day before the interview or on the same day and whatnot to save them from travelling down twice. i can`t really travel down twice as it is a very long way to go, so i was hoping to schedule the medical the day before my interview if i could. my question is though, to those who have done it, on the question in the packet 3 forms, it asks you for date of medical examination. if you can`t schedule the medical until you know the date of your interview, what should you put in that line? i know a few people have done this and i`m just wondering what they put on the form?

any help at all? i`m just wanting to make sure i don`t mess anything up.

    hope i hear from someone

    thanks

    Paul

  8. Hi, i was just wondering if someone who has done the medical could help me out, i was just wanting to know exactly at the london doctors, what is everything that you get tested for? when you get the medical done, what all do they actually test? someone said eye test, is that just the read the letters on the wall thing or do they test for color issues, and just everything else, if anyone could tell me what all actually happens i`d be really appreciative.

    thanks very much

    Paul

  9. Thank you to everyone for the congratulations, it is a very ncie feeling to be at this stage.

i just wanted to let everyone know a few things, just to maybe give everyone a bit of hope.

first thing is that we got the NOA2 without any touches at all, never heard a single thing from the time of our NOA1, it just went from us getting the letter of NOA1 and then nothing at all until the e-mail for the NOA2, so if you haven`t had any touches, do not worry, it seems that that may actually be a good thing.

the next thing is that i wouldn`t worry too much about that list that we have, i was sitting at number 107 when i got my acceptance, a friend of mine was at number 37 and i got mine before him, so i guess just keep hoping that yours will come up soon, but don`t get too down about the number you are if you are high up on the list.

i really hope to be writing a lot of congratulations on here soon for you all, lets hope things go fast and smoothly and we all get an excellent christmas present from the USCIS.

    take care everyone

    all the best

    Paul

  10. Hey everyone, i just got my NOA2 by e-mail, for the 12th of december. i got it with no touches from my date of NOA1, its been 116 days, i guess i have been really lucky with this. i actually feel kinda bad writing this because i know so many of you filed before me and still haven`t heard anything, but hopefully this will signify the start of the august accepts from CSC coming in. i`ll keep you all posted.

    Paul

  11. Hey everyone, i`m Paul, my fiance and i got our NOA1 from the CSC on the 20th of August. i have been checking the site but it still just says 20th of august, case pending no touches or anything yet, am a little worried as a lot of people seem to have touches pretty quickly, how is that for everyone in here?

i was wondering how everyone else is getting on, any other august 20th people out there?

would be good to hear from anyone thats waiting as we are all in the same boat now. hope everyones is going smoothly and best of luck to everyone.

  12. Hi, i`m looking to find out about going down to london to get my medical maybe the day before my interview with the embassy, can anyone give me any information on this? is it a good idea? i have to travel quite far so i don`t want to have to go to london twice so i guess i`m just looking for anyone that has maybe done this? waited until you get your interview date and then gone down and gotten the medical the day before the interview. if anyone who has done this is reading can you please tell me whether this is acceptable? easy to do? etc.

any help at all would be really much appreciated.

    thanks

    Paul

  13. Hi thanks again for the help guys, i really appreciate all the advice. i`m actually just starting out the process, thats why i don`t have a timeline but i want to know everything i can as soon as possible so i can plan for it.

my problem is that i live in the north of scotland, so travelling to london will be quite an expensive trip for me and could be quite a lot of hassle, so ideally what i`d like to do would be to go down the day before my interview and have my medical then, or the day after, anywhere around the interview where i wouldn`t have to make two trips all the way to london, but whats worrying me is that i don`t want to leave anything out or take any risks so i dont know how easy it is to arrange the medical. for example if i get told my medical is on the 7th, and i called the doctors, will they manage to definatley fit me in for the 6th? you know what i mean? i`m just worried that waiting for the interview date could mean i miss my chance to get a medical booked.

so really i`d like to know what everyone thinks about me waiting to try and get the medical right around the time of the interview, is that a safe option? is it risky? what do you think? i`d really like to be able to do the medical and interview it in one trip.

any help or advice on here would be really very much appreciated as i am not sure on these things.

thanks for your help so far, i hope i hear some more from everyone.

    thanks

    Paul

  14. Thank you for your kind response, that smuch appreciated.

would love to hear from anyone who has been through it in the UK just so i know for sure what it is i need to do.

thanks, look forward to hearing from you all

    Paul

oh and i wish you all the luck in the world for your upcoming interview, hope all goes well.

  15. Hi there, i was wondering if someone could help me, i apologise if this is something that has been brough up before but i have looked and cannot seem to find the answer i am looking for.

once you start filing for your K1 visa, down the line you have to go for a medical in london and also your interview in london, whats confusing me though is, when do you actually go to your medical? do you wait until you are told to go for one? do you make one yourself anytime? when is it you are supposed to go and how do you know its time for one? im confused because it says you will be told when you are told that you have an interview date, but the interview seems like it can be given without much notice and also people seem to be talking about getting their medical when they don`t have an interview date. so can someone please explain to me how this works exactly?

any info would be much appreciated.

    thank you very much

    Paul

  16. hey, sorry if this is a weird question, but you guys know how you get hassle from the US POE guys when they see in your passport how many times you have visited the states, has anyone ever been denied entry to canada because of how often you have entered the states? if they canadians look at your passport and see you have gone to the US a bunch of times, do they then assume you might just be going into canada to get to the states? or is it totally unrelated?

any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

    thanks a lot guys

    Paul

  17. thank you all so much, it was great to hear so much positivity from everyone and i really respect that no one sent in any messages telling me i AM too young. truth is we have been the best of friends and together for damn near 4 years and we have survived everything so far, i think that hopefully they would look at the fact that although we are young, we have stayed together for so long and thats not really all that normal for people our age, so i`m just hoping everything goes well!

thanks again everyone, this website is a god send.

    take care

  18. hey everyone, i have a question regarding the age of the US citizen filing a K1 petition.

does anyone know, or have any opinions, on whether or not the visa is less likely to be approved if the USC is under the age of 20. if the petitioner is say 18 or 19 and is a full time college student but has a parent that is willing to co-sponsor a 21 year old UK citizen for a Fiance visa, is the fact that the couple are so young going to be held against them?

any thoughts at all would be greatly appreciated, i look forward to hearing from you all.

    thank you

    Paul

  19. hey everyone, i am new to the site and i have posted a couple of other questions about stuff that i am concerned about and everyone has been very nice and really helpful.

i have looked through the site but couldn`t find anything as specific as the problem i am worried about, i have one big question about when my fiance and i will file for our K1 visa. the thing is she is a full time student in the US and we are worried that when we fiel for the K1 visa her lack of money will cause us a big problem. she works part time but only manages to make very little. i have quite a bit of money saved up but i know that on the forms it asks for her finances in order for her to sponsor me. her parents however are happy to sponsor me and they are very stable financially, so will the fact that i would have a very stable co-sponsor help me event hough my girlfriend has next to no finances her self? or will we be looked upon as not financially stable? i know that everything changes for the AOS but at the moment i am only wondering about the initial K1 visa part of the financial issues on for I-134.

any help at all or anyone who has gone through a similar situation would be much appreciated.

    thanks a lot guys

    Paul

  20. hey everyone, you have all been a great help and i am very much appreciated for it all. i do hae one other question though, if you come over on the VWP and you are refused entry, what are the ultiate ramifications of that, i mean other than you just simply not being able to use the VWP anymore? can you still apply for a tourist visa and get in or are you basically banned from entering america for a long time? and also is it a definate that being refused entry on the VWP will not count against you filing for a K1 visa?

thanks again everyone, you have been a terrific help.

    take care now

    Paul

and a response to poster WIDGE

when i make my next planned trip, i would have been int he US for a total of 95 days in the past 12 months, do you think that will help my cause or you think it will still be too much?

    thanks
