Hey everyone,
In Los Angeles. I had my fingerprints done on 8/4/15 (no problems) and then on 8/6 my USCIS status online changed to "Case Is In Line For An Interview" but since 8/6 there have been no updates. It's been 42 days or 6-weeks.
Should I be worried/concerned?

How long is a long time?
1-month? 2-months? 3-months?

Hey guys,
If you end up needing to reschedule your interview, do you just mark it on the interview appointment letter and then send it back to them? Can you do it online? And can you pick when you would like to reschedule it to? Or do they pick the new date/time for you?
Thanks

Hey guys,
So I mailed my N-400 app on 7/6, my check was cashed on 7/10 and I received the I-797C receipt sometime last week around 7/15 or so (the notice date on the letter says 7/9). However, I still have yet to receive my fingerprint appointment letter. Is this normal?
When do you usually receive the fingerprint appointment notice?
Also, do I need to do anything with the I-797C or is it just a receipt?
Thanks!

thanks for all the advice!
so if I'm going to sublease my apartment during this 6-month trip does that still count as keeping my LA residence?

Hey guys,
I'm currently a US green card holder based in Los Angeles who is eligible to apply for naturalization. A business opportunity has arisen overseas and I need to leave the country the 1st week of August but I still want to apply for citizenship.
I'm thinking:
- submit my N400 in the next few days
- get my fingerprints done by 1st week of August, which is when I depart
- come back in 4-6 months for the interview (reschedule/delay the interview to when I come back if need be)
- stay here for 1 month (2-months max) for interview/oath ceremony/expedited passport service
- once I receive my US passport, leave the country for however long I want
Thoughts?

Hey guys,
Quick question: as a US green card holder, if I leave the country for over 6-months but under 1-year, will this affect me applying for citizenship?
Been a permanent resident for 20+ years, have family in the US, this trip is for school/traveling and I still intend to come back and live here.

Hey guys,
On Monday of this last week (11/9/15) my case status online updated to "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed" but I have yet to receive the notice.
When do you guys think my oath ceremony will be? Could it be next week before Thanksgiving possibly or will it be sometime in Dec?
The reason I really want to know is so I can book my Thanksgiving flights before prices go through the roof. What do you guys think? And would USCIS tell me if I call them Mon?
