Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions.
The loneliness is inevitable, especially with a huge change of environment, culture and lifestyle. I`ve gotten better with it.. .i tried to be busy cleaning, walking the dog around the block, gardening and joined meetup. I just would really want to learn how to drive, get a job,and not be dependent with my husband all the time.
There's still no update on my social.
The lady that i spoke to,the first time asked me to call again and so i did. The supervisor told me that they are waiting to hear from the immigration, and would contact them by monday. She asked me to call back by tuesday. ..

Hi,I just want to share my experience so other people can learn from it.
I came here with K1 visa, got married within 90 days.. .everything was going smooth until i get too comfortable and forgot to apply for my social til a week before my visa expires(which is no longer accepted). I thought it was ok, i`ll do it when i get my EAD and friend of mine says it`ll only take 1-2 weeks. I submitted my AOS application together with a permit to work and travel. Meanwhile,i studied the driving manual, along with staying alone in the house, being depressed 5 days a week, while my husband is at work I was so happy when i finally receive my EAD card thinking i can finally take my driving exam and hopefully work(btw you cant take your driving exam without your social, i already tried it). I applied for my social a week after i got my EAD hoping i would receive it within 2 weeks. Now here i am, on my 4th week of impatiently waiting for my SSN. I called the local Social Security Office yesterday, and told me that the office of homeland(something like that) hasnt send information and the reason why its getting delayed... *sigh *sigh
So yeah.. .
Also, today i am celebrating my 7th month of being here in United States(yay! yay!).

I am in the same situation
..been here 3 months now and I am so tired of staying at home. My husband go to work weekdays and I am left at home with our dog. I tried to keep myself busy but lately those things doesn't make me happy anymore. I came to a point where I burst into tears and telling my husband that I want my old life back. I miss having a job and be independent, going out with friends and just going somewhere or trying adventurous things. I don't have friends yet, which is making me more sad. I know in time, I will meet new people that I might establish friendship with, right now I am pushing myself to review for my driver's exam so at least I can move forward..
I did not check my visajourney account for couple of months after I get my visa. It is good to know that a lot of people here can relate, sharing their own experiences and suggesting ideas! thanks everyone <3

i am wondering if any of you recently move here in central Las Vegas, or somewhere near Seafood City.. .and looking for friends or just someone to talk to.

hehe lol, pano pa kaya ako
..I am leaving Philippines next year, i wasnt expecting that we will get approved so fast... . eh ayaw ko pa umalis, wala magawa si jowa, hehe
How are you adjusting btw?? I am really worried that i might get bored and homesick when i get there.. .

i think this is exactly the reason why my fiance doenst want me to learn driving here in Phils
... he said he is very much willing to pay for driving lesson, he thinks it would be a lot better if i start from nothing and acquire skills when i get there.
-
yay Congratulations!

My fiance used the same carrier FedEx Express, he had some issues with the lady she dealt with when he sent the package, but the good thing is they have the tracker to track where your package is at.. . i would suggest for you to have your fiancee call them (if its already here in Phils.)and asked if they can just deliver it to her nearest location.

hey the same thing happened to me. I just got approved last monday and the CO didn't even bother to look at our affidavit of support and proof of relationship. I'm just waiting for my visa now . ??
Yup, the reason could be because it was submitted together with i129F. ..cost my fiance 100$ to send me documents that were never asked by the consul
btw, congratulations to your approval!

God is amazing! Congratulations to us, i was approved today as well

Hi everyone. Just had my interview earlier at usem they did get my passport and the american consul did not ask any documents. While the filipino consul just ask for birth cert., cenomar, nbi and Mrv slip (which was he returned to me) the american consul ask basic question like where and when did we met and so on. She ask me to proceed to the releasing area. The lady who was assigned there said that may case is under administrative if I did not received any email regarding what documents they needed to me they will soon deliver my passport and visa. My question is why they didnt tell me what are the documents that I have not submitted when they were conducting the interview. So upset today.
hi, i also had my interview earlier today and i was asked the same documents.. .i am actually wondering why they didnt even bother to ask for the affidavit of support, w2, etc that my fiance has sent me which is also part of the requirements, consul didnt check for any proof of relationship, i am thinking that is probably because they already have a copy of it.. .but i am still a little worried. At the releasing they asked for the BPI receipt (which i never thought they would still need it) and my ds160 which she returned afterwards. They just gave me a piece of paper and i was done.. .i dont know what's next, guess i'll just have to wait for my visa to be delivered.

Leave all your electronic devices in your Hotel or at home. It will be your risk to leave your stuff with the sidewalk vendors with a Fee. You cannot bring any electronic devices even USB inside the US embassy manila.
Sure your family and fiance can wait till you get home/ Hotel to hear the good news:)
Yes, thank you!

congratulations to you guys! also thank you for sharing your experience.. .though i have one question. Did you guys bring your mobile gadgets to USEM?? How safe it is to leave your bag to security guards.. .My interview is set tmrw, i will be alone, i still cant decide if i wanna bring my cellphone, my family and fiance would be so worried and as much as possible i want to update them when i arrive and when i am done with it. Thanks in advance!

hi, your girlfriend and i are almost in the same stage of the process.. .So, here's what i did, after calling NVC & getting my MNL#, i checked the visa status from this website:
- Check My Visa Application Status
- Visa Application Type, select "Immigrant Visa"
- Immigrant Visa Case #, (Type in your MNL#)
- Status should be "Ready" (when i first checked mine it say "in transit" i waited few more days)
Also, since i got my MNL# i fill out my DS-160(same website) and before i can schedule an appointment, i needed to pay first.. .Check this link for instructions: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-visaapply.asp
For the Medical appointment: http://www.slec.ph/
Most people say here, to not wait on the letter.. . I still wonder where mine is. I hope this post will help you, goodluck!
-
yay, congratulations to you!
i am planning to schedule my medical appointment and i am freaking out!
-
Hi everyone need little help here. We recently got our MNL case # (status: in transit) and I am planning to set an appointment at St. Lukes for my medical without scheduling an interview date, is that OK? Or do I have to schedule/pay for my interview first, before i can have my medical done? Also if incase, I can just schedule my interview online with my MNL case#, right? Thank you.

Our NOA2 was approved August 25 and on the approval notice it says there that "NVC processing should be complete within 2-4 weeks after receiving the petition form USCIS", and " you should allow a minimum of 30 days for Department of State processing before contacting NVC". Case to case basis pa rin ata, although marami nagsusugest to contact NVC earlier kasi usually hindi naman na raw inaabot ng 1month magrelease for case#. Up to you gurl, good luck!

Great, so all i need from him is an original copy of his I-134, we already have the scanned copy of our packet in dropbox, he just wanted to print out other documents because the cost of him sending me the entire packet is no difference than a few pieces of paper(saves me time & money
).
I checked your website, all information are there, really helpful! Thank you
We will start calling NVC, once i got my papers done.. .My fiance and i are happy that our K1 application is moving faster than we thought, though i am not planning to leave Philippines until after New year, but the earlier we get my visa, the better.
Thanks again everyone!
-
The I-134 needs a wet signature so that needs to be original. Sending the 129F packet (copy) to you would be fine as there are things in there you may want to use. Why don't you guys set up a FREE dropbox account and drop all your scanned documents there. That way you can print only the things you need and having access can be a godsend.
The only documents you will need for the interview are contained in the Embassy Letter. See my website for more details. Go to my website, link is down below at the twisting arrow and follow the steps. Don't wait 30 days before you start chasing your MNL#. You'll be wasting an entire month. Again, details are in the link.
NBI and CENOMAR can't be older then 6 months at time of interview, so if you interview takes place and you have 30 days remaining, then no problem.

Hi, everyone.. Thanks for all your comments and suggestions. I need a little more help, our NOA2 got approved 19 days from our NOA1 date, and we are now waiting 30 days for our case#. While waiting i started sorting my papers in preparation for my interview. I just have some questions. .. I already have my CENOMAR dated 6/30/15, i am not sure if its still gonna be valid till interview, some says it is good for 6mos, other suggested to get a newer one. ..what do you guys think? Also, aside from Evidence of Support(I-134 form, form 1040, W-2), would there be anything original copy i would need from my fiance because he is suggesting to send me a copy of our packet so i could just use the photos, emails, etc.. .Thanks again!
-
After 2 months of getting all the requirements, we've finally turned in our packet yesterday.. .what a big relief!! We never thought it was this hard.. .it would have been a lot easier it he is willing to live with me here in Philippines
hehe
I wish i applied for my SSN sooner. ..
