  1. Hi there , if you just made it to NVC there process took us 5 months from getting there. we are applying cr1visa and we started in aug 2015, went to nvc about october, the payments online will let you know when you can process payments, then goes to next ste, which then you have to send all the documents requested and they review them . if no problems with documents sent it will process accordingly about two months from date they receive your documents. We finished nvc in march 2016 and last week got our interview date for June 2016, So we are now hoping for the best for our interview!!! Good luck so it took all in all 10 to get interview from begining of filing for us.I am born USA my spouse Turkey.

  2. I am USA citizen my husband is Turkish, thsi is all new for gays , My self and my same sex spouse got married last year JULY 4 2015 in Cape Town South Africa , we went there for gay marriage is legal there but we are recognized here as a couple. We filed 130 in August and the process moved along with no significant issues and received by UCIS he was approved easily in Sept 2015; then it went to NVC and that process took at least 5 months and March 18 was completed with NVC and in line for interview date , We just got our appointment this morning MAY 11 yeahhhhh!!!. i have been living here in Turkey and have have been together since Nov 2014 and we both live together but we have a big age difference he is 20 I am 57, but we love each other immensly. So far no glitches in the process and I have domicile in USA I have my own home it is currently there and have roommates living in my home, with additional income plus my income from the states. now the nervousness of the interview, we are in a bonafide true loving relationship have spent our holidays together travel together , same bank account , record of our home address and thousand of photos together and my sister visited as well amd signed affadavits from family and acquatiances. I guess I am nervous about the interview, he was just asked to go my TURKISH HUSBAND , i THOUGHT BEING WE RESIDE TOGETHER THEY WOULD INTERVIEW ME AS WELL. But i plan on tagging along and giving him my passport to take in with him and he can say my husband is sitting outside. I dont know what they will ask , I hope all goes well, any idea what they will ask , I AM SURE ABOUT OUR RELATIONSHIP , MAYBE OUR AGE DIFFERENCE. H e is currently in a Turkish university . Any advice I feel comfortable that the NVC process went easy with no problems at all. I was anticipating it drag our requesting additional info but i guess i sent sufficient documents, I sent alot .

  3. I sent my packet in for CR1 visa we sent a flash drive for we had over two thousand photos of us since Christmas. They sent it back saying they could not us format devices in the folder for officer. I only have a receipt number no case number yet, will it be a problem to send now being i just got my receipt letter from NVC, They sent my file to the CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER am not sure to send back to lock box in Chicago or forward to california address.I dont want them to think i didnt forward any pictures. I have copy of letter i attached to flash drive and letter they sent it back with i will copy those and sent back with photos and explain what happened , im not sure if they coucument they sent back a format device with pictures. should I send now or wait to hear from them.???? they told me on phone to send back to lockbox in Chicago not california ......but am not sure what to do Quote

  4. I received my flash drive on Friday saying couldn't use format device in file for officer, and they received our packet on 13 of Aug and was being sent to California for processing, what should i do as far as sending the photos should i wait or send later, i called they told me to send to Chicago lockbox and and my receipt number they will forward to my location. Will i screw it up by sending or wait tillthey request additonal documents.

  5. I sent my packet in for CR1 visa we sent a flash drive for we had over two thousand photos of us since Christmas. They sent it back saying they could not us format devices in the folder for officer. Was wondering how many pics would be enough to send . We met in November 2014 got married on July 4 in South Africa we live in TURKEY.. what do you think ?? a few hundred of the best !!!!

  6. we are same sex couple filing from Turkey, for spousal visa are you required one year tax return or three, i only did my 2014 for i started renting my home, previous 2 years i had no taxable income in the states for i am permanently disabled . I have been living here three years. We just mailed our CR1 last week and it was received UPS on Aug 11 but havent recieved notification from Visa center as of yet .

  7. so am glad t here they cant dicriminate on age, we are a real relationship and love na d care , concern and hope for a good future, I hope it goes well we document alot on facebook about us , we live together and have joint account .only we must be discreet at times for we cant let all know of this, his family doesnt know anything, and we choose to leave that way. We are very happy together, thanks for responses

  8. My spouse and I met almost a year ago, I am living and working in Izmir Turkey and we have been living together since we met . He is a student at the university I teach at . We have a big age difference 38 years . he is 19 I am 57 we are very happy together. We would like to relocate back home to the states for gay life is very limited for us , As you can see at gay pride in Istanbul they disrupted the gay pride rally shooting water canons at people attending for they didn't want rally in Taksim square. Anyway we know we would be happier back home , we love each other and we have no problem with our age, He is very mature and acts older than me sometimes i seem more immature than him at times haha. We had to travel to Cape Town South Africa which allows' same sex marriage and he didnt need visa to go there, but his family does not know he is gay and cant know. We are happy and want to live our life together back in my home country, we havent done anything yet , just wondering should we get a lawyer or try on our own, We are very happy and he never wanted to go to the states I felt our life would be better in the states as a gay couple . Should we get a lawyer, I already wrote to one and he said age difference could be a problem but our relationship is legitimate. We spent last Christmas together and I met his family but they dont know about us being gay only we are friends from university. We cant come out here. I know about CR1 visa do i need a lawyer or should i file, age should not be a factor for love , yes we do love each other , he has changed my life and I cherish him and look forward to getting older with him. I know I am judged by many but my family and close friends love him and see the genuine relationship we have , we dont focus on our age.We want to build a happy life for us but its not viable here even though I love Izmir and beautiful city on the Agean Sea. Our marriage is hidden as is our sexuality as well so we cant be ourselves , we want to be able to have a life together as long as it can be for.
