  1. Hello again visa journey friends! Coming back to this site (after being granted my conditional green card a year and a bit ago) feels like an old family - so many people desperately in love, counting the days to be together - it's very romantic but I remember that stress - yikes!

Now having been wonderfully married for a year and a few months, I'm back here and thinking about conditions being removed. First challenge - we've changed address since we got married and didn't inform any government visa people. Will they send me letters to my old address or what? Internet says to fill in for I-751 90 days before second anniversary and we're golden. We have joint names on bank insurance, car insurance, bills etc. Is there anything I'm missing? Sounds way too easy to me!

  2. Hello,

Firstly, apologies in advance of this is out there somewhere - I'm struggling with too much info on the net, without all of it being accurate or in-date!

So, happily just got married on k1 visa and looking to go through AOS. We have most things together, but he's struggling with some tax info for supporting documents for I-864. I need my EAD ASAP as I have a job lined up and waiting for me. Can I now go ahead and apply for EAD separately, before the I-864/AOS? Would there be extra costs or delays/ issues with the process if I did it this way?

    Thanks for your help!

  3. Hello, so I got the medical done in London, as requested, and all came up green-light, except I needed the MMR vaccine as this wasn't given to me as child. So I happily had my entry to the U.S. once the K1 was granted, and made an appointment with the civil surgeon listed to get my MMR (and now Flu). However, they're wanting to do my syphilis test and various things (pregnancy test) at extra cost. Find this really infuriating as I had the full medical at cost in London just four weeks ago. I explained this to the civil surgeon nurse at length but was like talking to a brick wall! They're saying I need to prove I had a clean syphilis test, and I have no documents to prove I did - presume they were all in the fat envelope I handed over at POE. Angry! Please help with any advice, kind visa journey folks!

  4. Hello,

I thankfully have my interview scheduled for Monday 21st, but when trying to pay the visa fee on-line there is no option to pay the $265 (this site where I've registered for delivery etc). When I call the number listed on the website, they say there's no option to pay at this time. What am I doing wrong?! Super stressed! I've read I need to bring proof of payment to the interview :-/ thank you in advance!

  5. I'm usually quite a smart person, but the UK Official U.S. Department of State Visa Appointment Service (the link sent to me in my interview appointment letter) has me flummoxed, how the hell do I pay for my visa?! I've registered for it to be delivered, but there is nothing saying where I can pay... please help!!

  6. Hello! So we great fully recieved the letter from the London US embassy saying they've recieved our petition.

I have completed my medical, the interview readiness form and the DS-160. I have gathered all the documents listed here: http://london.usembassy.gov/mobile/iv/application_documents.html

He is completing the I-134. It lists he only needs bank statements and a letter from his employer as supporting evidence. Some threads on this forum show he needs tax returns and W2s - is this correct for London?

Apart from sitting tight and waiting for an interview date, is there anything else we should be doing? Worried we've missed something! Am I meant to be scheduling the interview, or just waiting?

    Thank you!

  7. Ok, so happily got noa2 granted, but now what?!

The NOA2 certificate doesn’t really have any clear steps on what happens next. From this site the and forum, I’ve figured the following:

CSC sends original packet to NVC, then NVC sends to US embassy in my home country (UK) for me to have the medical then the interview.

I need to bring to the interview:

    • A copy of the ENTIRE I-129f packet (including letters of intent, proof of relationship, his entire passport). Question – if the US Embassy already have this, why do I need to bring it? My fiancé didn’t take a full copy of this by mistake, although we have the forms saved when we filled them out electronically – we can just re-sign them, should this be a problem?
    • His I-134 form with supporting documents. QUESTION – do we need to mail this anywhere? Or just bring it to the interview?
    • Copy of the NOA2.
    • Proof of our relationship from NOA1 to now.
    • A letter of his continued support to marry me, with a more recent date.

Also, for the medical, do I just have to wait for the embassy to let me know to arrange this?

So confused! Thank you so much for all your help, the instructions on USCIS are pretty hopeless! Have I got anything wrong?

  8. Oops, sorry, that was a silly question - know there's a lot more to the visa process with my interview here in the UK, but we were anticipating noah1 then a six month wait until noah2. In my excitement I mistyped! But does this mean the next step is the shorter wait for the interview. My fiancé is waiting eagerly on the mail, but I'm too impatient to wait so asking you good folks. Seems too good to be true!
