As I have heard, cases that come from the NVC usually take about 3 weeks til u get an appointment and the case number begins with DJI.
Cases that come from Cairo usually begin with YTC and take about a month to get here and then and 3wks til the day of ur appointment.
Cases that begin with SAA were either on the way to Yemen, or already had appointments there before the Embassy closed in Yemen usually take the longest to get here. About 2 months and sometimes more.
I hope this was of help to u and good luck.
Thank you very much for the info. I wish you the best with your case. Inshallah khair for everyone here

We arrived in Djibouti on May 7th
Is your case still at NVC or Cairo?
My wife's case has been transferred/expedited from NVC to Djibouti on July 1

Hi!
Does anyone know how long does it take to get a visa interview in Djibouti after case has been transferred/expedited??

Salaam Aleekum!
The U.S. embassy in Djibouti has stopped taking new applications since July 2nd. They will process the cases that are completed first. So everyone that has their case transferred Inshallah will get an interview soon.

My wife and kids live overseas. I'm trying file i864 as sponsor for my wife's immigration case. My kids are U.S. Citizens (through me)kids don't have SS#. I don't claim my kids as dependent on my federal tax returns. My question on I864 part 5.HOUSEHOLD SIZE, questions 4, should I claim them as dependent?
