Sorry a photo copy wont work. I have just come back from a cruise. They checked everything. First my expired Greencard. Then i gave them my l-751. They checked to see if it was the original Copy.Then they wanted to know why i had payed for a new card. I told to remove the condition. Then he wanted to know when i entered the Usa the first time and where. He asked me for my passport then. He checked through it. Matched the photos up on my Greencard and passport. Then he asked for my marriage certificate. He asked what my names was before my marriage. Then he stamped my passport to admit me back into the USA.He said welcome back have a good day.

So dont go without the documentation.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why this keeps happening?

I have had 3 Case Status updates from the USCIS.

First one arrived on the 30 April,

we have ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days.

The second one on May 10, we ordered production of your new card, please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

The third one, on the 19 May,we mailed you a notice that we have approved your removal of conditions. The only thing i have already received one.This is second one i have received letting me know i have been approved.

Does this mean i will get 2 Greencards.

Has this happened to anyone else?

My 10 year Permanant Resident card has been Approved. It was Approved 0n the 30 April.

I have received NOA I-751 Receipt Notice. Saying my conditional resident status has been extended for one year.During the one year extionsion you are allowed to travel.

My question is we have booked to go on a cruise in June. They want my Green card number which is the alien number. The card expires on the 04/24/2010.They want the expired date. What do you do when you have an extension for one year?

I need some advice which day to send it over night mail. As my card expires on April 2010.It needs to arrive on

January 24 / 2010 which is a Saturday. So is it alright to get it there on January 23 / 2010.

No my atterney used my maiden name when he filled in my paper work. I have let him know. He say enjoy the permanent resident card. Travel. When i am not travelling he re file for change of name. Can you travel if maiden name on card and married name on passport.

Today i received my new permanent resident card but they used the wrong surname. They used my maiden name instead of my married name. I cant beleive it when i read it.

Oh yes they do. The same happened with my Employment Card except they put on the wrong country i was born in. Then it took another 90 days to come back. I just got a letter back from them and they even spelt my surname wrong.

I have been pending over 180 days got in touch with the 800 number to do a trace on my AOS still pending on name check. Well i got a reply back from my local office in Houston with a reply saying my case case been delayed. A check of our records establishes that my case is not ready for decision, as the required investigation into my my background remains open.

Until the background investigation is completed, we cant move forward on my case.Background checks are required on all applications who apply for immigration benefits i am seeking.They will make a decision when the background check is completed. If i do not receive a reply or decision or a notice from them in 6 months of this letter, please contact them by calling the customer service number provided.

So the wait goes on. Which brings the month of September before i can do anything. Which also means i have to renewal my employment card which will be the third one. Also i have applied for the renewal for advance parole.

Hi,

45 days ago i phoned the uscis to do a trace on my pending AOS. Which they gave me ref. number.

The 45 days was up last Thursday and i did not get ony touch or any other info.

So i phoned USCIS today to say i have heard nothing. So they tried to see if they had any info. on there system but they could not find my referance number they gave me. Then they wanted to know what my initial application was for. So i siad K-1 VISA. i AM MARRIED TO A US Citizen.

Then he went away and came back and siad they could not find it.

No Trace.

They had to do a Service Request.

Not Answered in 45 days.

Gave me another referance number which will take another 45 days.

So i dont know what to make of this.
