  1. That's odd I know many people who have no relationship with joint sponsor some don;t even know them. They sent no proof of relationship there was none.

Do you live wit your father?

I live with my father. I'm not sure when it's needed, but I definitely got checklisted for no proof. I sent in my birth certificate and my new scan date is February 25th. Fingers crossed I hear back by Friday or Monday
  2. Your father's tax transcripts will do. It has everything they need.

Sure print up the SS income report.

Proof of relationship doesn't pertain to spousal visa types. That's for a different thing.

You don't have to show any evidence proof of relationship with joint sponsor.

You are free to send in evidence of your bonafide relationship. You can submit more evidence, or for those who didn't know and Want to send some evidence. Or whatever. You don't have to if you did enough with your initial petition.

You do need to show proof of your relationship to your joint sponsor. Mine is my father and I got a checklist for not showing proof. I sent my birth certificate to the NVC.

  3. Just looked at the I-864A part 5 and getting a checklist for that is really harsh! They should NOT have made the form so that people can type the name, if they didn't want people to type it. Doesn't make sense. Sorry Carolrp825.

I know! I understand the proof of relationship to the household member, but the I864A correction was ridiculous. I've seen some people that had checklist corrections processed quickly and they are giving me hope right now.

  4. Thank you so much! I don't have all of my documents together yet for NVC step. I just got the I-130 approved, but I want to start preparing everything.

We got married in a civil ceremony in Brazil and now we are planning a religious wedding for the end of April. I'm hoping and praying we can finish this process by then, so my husband can come to the US with me.

You are amazing with so much information! I appreciate it :)

I sent my i-130 in February of this year. We (still) have quite an active thread here at VJ. For many of the February thread members who sent documents through regular mail, the NVC moved them to CC in 16 - 21 days back in August/September. So my 45 days were at least twice as long.

And I only got it in 45 days because I called them every single day and pestered them so much I managed to get the direct line of my case supervisor. Eventually we got the senator involved too because we were stuck for more 21 days because there was a system bug that locked my daughter's case for 3 more weeks. It was a living hell.

The most important thing is for you to send all documents correctly, so you don't get a checklist (which is the same as RFE, but in NVC terminology). If you get a checklist, they will reset your scan date and tell you to wait 35 more days.

In these links you can see what you need to send:

Please write me here or send me a private message if you'd like me to review your documents list. Good luck!

  5. Hi!

Thank you for answering some of my questions! I really appreciate it!

Even with a 35 day delay, 45 days seems pretty good compared to some people that wait for months. Should I send some papers that I sent with my I-130? what do they need?

    Hi,

    Sorry, it's me again :content:

So, in my case, they actually reviewed my documents in 10 days (which was amazing), but then my case was stalled for 35 days because they needed to scan the documents I sent previously to the USCIS for the i-130. They said they had buckets of 5.000 i-130 and it was very hard for them to find it.

If you want to hear it from others, this thread is recent and it will give you a measure of how bad it is:

  6. Step 1 - Get the case number and the Invoice Number Identification

NVC call to 1 (603) 334-0700 and press 3 for Spanish.

Please allow 20 to 30 working days after your request was approved by USCIS and sent to NVC so you can get your case number and Invoice Number Identification through operador.Cuando talk to the operator Provide this the email the beneficiary and the petitioner.

To speak to an operator will need to provide the following information: USCIS receipt number, name of the beneficiary and the petitioner and date of birth of both. Either (petitioner or beneficiary) can call the NVC.

    Step 2.

From 3-10 days after the emails provided the operator will need to arrive two emails, one to the other beneficiary and the petitioner. In both they copied to another person. These contain the welcome letter with the recovery of US $ 120 for the processing of the Affidavit of Support. the request of the person who paid the charges and receipt of documents by the NVC bone CHOICE OF AGENT (DS-261) and a COVER SHEET going to use to send your affidavit and civil documents.

To complete the DS261 you should have your case number and your Invoice Identification Number. You must enter the following paginahttps: //ceac.state.gov/ceac/ just click on the first option under DS-261 Immigrant Online Choice of Address and Agent. And there enter as Principal Applicant and type your case # and Invoice Identification Number, and complete the electronic form or DS261 and choose your agent or representative (usually the petitioner). You can complete and submit the DS261 as soon as you obtegas your case and Invoice # Identification Number (if enabled), thus speeding up your process and save several days of waiting.

My priority date was June 3rd and I got the I-130 approved on November 16th

  7. Hi Carol,

After you get your NOA2, its easier for you to track it through the USCIS website. Use your USCIS number, and it will probably be updated there after your case has been sent to the NVC.

For example, my NOA2 was on July 17 this year, but they only sent it to the NVC on July 30. It arrived on the NVC on August 3. Once you know the NVC has received your case through the USCIS website, give them about a week to call and ask about your case and invoice number, as poster above has mentioned.

I got approved 10 days ago in Rio. One tip: at the NVC process, do not use Electronic Processing. Send your documents with regular mail, the NVC approves your case a lot faster if you do it this way.

Let me know if you have questions.

    Good luck!

Obrigada pela ajuda! My I-130 was approved and I was unsure of what to do now.
    Congratulations on getting everything approved!
