  1. I didn't read all the replays here so I might write something already written here.

It doesn't have to take so long. I paid AOS (after completing DS-261 ), Took 2 days for the status to change to PAID. Then, the second I've seen

the status changed, I called the NVC and asked the representative to issue an invoice for the IV fee so I could pay it.

It took 2 more days and I paid the IV fee and could move on with the process.

  2. Does anyone have data on how long it takes for the NVC to process the DS-261 and invoice the IV fee so you can pay it and complete the DS-260? The wiki says "a few weeks", but that's all I can find. The time data on the site doesn't break NVC processing down into that level of detail (might be a useful addition to timelines events that users can update). Curious as to what anyone knows. Thanks!

  3. Question:

Attorney advised us that for my husband ( beneficiary & UK citizen ) to enter the US while his K3 with I-130 is being processed is considered fraud because you can't come in on a different visa while one is processing. Any truth to this? Thoughts?

It is an old post but I will still write an answer here for those of you who read it:

No! This is not true. I had a pending K3 case when I came to the USA on a tourist visa. You just have to be very honest about it and have all the documents with you when you entering the country.

  4. Hi all!

After checking our case status at the USCIS websit we found out they approved both I-130 and I-129f at the same day.

I read so much about this scenario but almost every post says something else.

So what is the bottom line here? Is the K3 visa gonna be administratively closed and they would continue with the I-130 alone or will they give us the option to choose (or any other option I ran into online)? WHAT HAPPENS NOW??

    Thanks much
