HI everyone. I am about to file F2B for my daughter who is over 21. A few questions would be very helpful.
Could she get married at all during the waiting, or she could until priority date is current?
Could she come to the US to visit me using her existing visitor visa (still valid for 5 years)
Could she come to the US to study/work, I'd assume she can't get a student visa abroad, but can she come to the US and change visa?
Thank you!

have anybody gotten biometrics letter yet. It's been a month, nothing since NOA.
-
just Filed for my mom as well,
11/25/19 mailed the package
-
Thanks, I am about to file for my mom. Would you mind sharing your list of documents, that'd be very helpful!

One Year
No - he just gave it to me.
Thanks Henry, Does it mean you can apply Permanent GR in a year?
-
I was granted AOS at my interview on June 30th. IO stamped my passport and handed me a letter granting my application.
1 year - 15 days from the date my application was received.
Congrats! Henry,
May I ask you when will your passport stamp expire? one year from now or two year from now?
-
We got approved on spot too. Grilled us for an hour, but it's all good. I have a confusion and hope ppl got approved can answer.
My passport stamp said my work authorization expires in May 17th, 2017, while my green card has an expiration date of May 17th 2018. And I clearly remembered the interviewer saying I can apply for Permanent Green Card next year. But now I am super confused. When can I apply for removal the conditional status after all?

Got a text saying interview scheduled for May 17th!! Yahhh!
-
woke up getting a text message saying interview is scheduled for May 17th. Yahhh!! almost our one year anniversary
-
Woke up to a text that my case had been updated and then saw that I also had an email saying my interview has been scheduled for May 3rd!!! Finally! ?
That's Awesome Yelli, so happy for you!
Anyone else heard from them. Looks like June filers are seeing hope
-
We filed in June 19th. Didn't hear a thing since I got EAD/AP.
Man wish it's faster. but at least it is much faster than Dallas.
-
Is there anyone form Houston local office, please let me know, we will keep tracking our cases together to point out when our cases are ready for interview. Currently, Houston is working March filers. Hopefully, they will move to May and June soon.
I am too!
Haven't heard anything at all!
Let's do this together.

Received my EAD/AP combo card yesterday! 40 days only, still feels unreal!

Want to share with my experience in EAD expedite: from June 19th mail received, until July 20th case approved, and July 24th, approval notice received. God knows how stressful I was, hopefully ppl can benefit from my experience.
EAD expedite
July 6th, biometrics appointment letter received, successfully walked in. then call USCIS to expedite.
Lesson learned: Have to complete biometrics before expedite
be sure to give EMAIL address, otherwise, they won't reply in email.
be sure to ask them repeat your statement (I used level 1 customer service who are usually nicer)
State that you job will be rescinded if you don't get approved
July 7th, morning, received an email requesting for documents, fax everything over in 3 hours.
Lesson Learned be patient about the fax line, could be busy for a couple hours.
Make sure your offer is phrased in a way that shows they will rescind the offer.
Combine all your bills and loans, better give a summary page
July 6th, contacted congressman's office, and fax it over all the documents at night
Lesson learned Maybe it's not a good idea to get congressman/senator involved in the first place, wait until you don't hear back for 3-5 days, since the officer may be repulsed by those authorities or the process could be slowed down by that.
You could contact congressman in the beginning and not use USCIS customer service, some ppl say it's faster
July 14th, contacted senator's office, email everything. contacted Ombudsman, got an reply and filled a online form.
July 15th, heard back from congressman's office that they agreed to expedite, but don't know when it will be approved....., emailed senator's and ombudsman to cancel requests.
July 17th, too desperate, fax a letter to the previous number, requesting to speed up process
Lesson learned It could be a good channel to directly communicate with the officer
July 20th, got both email/texts, saying card production/approval, I-131 is also approved finally!
Change of address
Moved on the July 11th, and found out that government mails don't get forwarded, filled online form AR11 for I485, 131, 765 on July 9th
Customers service were really rude when I called, keep asking me to wait.
July 9th ordered mail forwarding thru USPS
Lesson learned: this is a two-step process, you have to file AR 11 and then call customer service for a service request, if one level 2 won't do it for you, call again and get another one.
Some ppl say the best way is to schedule a infopass appointment to change it (never tried)
July 14th, submitted online address change for 3 forms
July 23rd, still not changed, (crazy), called customer service again, who ordered another service, and admin error referral
Lesson learned: Gotta start this process as early as possible!
Try using an office address or your friend's address if you plan to move, and not change your address during this process.
July 24/25, desperately waiting for approval notice, that I went back to the old apartment building, begging them to open mailbox for me and finally the little green letter is there!
Lesson learned: It will take USPS 2 weeks after you move before they start forwarding your mails, don't count on them, I have tons of mails that are still mailed to old address!
Thank you for all the help I've gained online and thru USCIS, congressman, and my old apartment building admin!
Fingers crossed that I will get my card soon! work start on Monday!
-
Got the approval notice in mail... still waiting f
I got it yesterday too. you don't know how much trouble I went thru...
Hopefully my hr will be flexible with the situation
-
nothing yet...
They told me they have mailed a notice on the 20th. So hopefully I can receive it today or tomorrow. Man, I have a job starting on Monday.....
-
My status was on July 20 card is in production, then on the same day it was changed to Case approved.
I read somewhere that we should be getting a tracking number to card shipment... did any of you guys got it? and when do you expect to have our status changed to card mailed?
Mine was approved on 20th. I think once the online status/email get updated into card mailed, we can get the tracking no.
I haven't received any paper yet, did you receive notice of approval yet?
-
I saw an update on my case status online yesterday. It says they "sent a response" to my request and that it's now "completed." I'm assuming they are not going to expedite.
I got it approved! Although it seems it little longer than the myths on this forum. But I am just glad I did.
Next step: when I can get the approval notice and card!! faster please
-

I got a response 2 days ago from congressman's office, saying they agree to expedite. I don't know when.... and it looks like still useless..........
sigh
I hope you got a card production response!
-
Hey cassieyu83
whats the updates on your expedite?
Ugh...
The congressman called on the 15th. Said They agreed to expedite it. but still no freaking news....
no point of expediting sigh
-
Yes, I got a letter in the mail asking me to fax more evidence. Good luck to you! I hope it works out.
still no news? sigh... don't know what to do now.......
-
I tried to expedite my EAD earlier this month. I faxed the documents they asked for 6 days ago and no reply. I have a feeling they are going to deny me but I don't know if they'll send a letter or an email. I will post an update if I get a response.
I think requesting expedited handling may have actually delayed my EAD processing. I wish I hadn't done it.
Same here. Did they send you a mail requesting you to fax?
It's been 5 days since they sent me an email requesting documents and I haven't heard a thing. I tried to contact congressman and still no news. Today I reached out to senator, hopefully it will work!
Fingers Crossed!
-
Hi, June filers, finally found you here.
I filed everything on June 18th. Got biometrics done July 6th. And requested for EAD expedite and asked congressman for help, since I have a job offer that will go south if i don't get EAD by July 27th.
Anyone else requested EAD expedite service?
Good luck everyone!
-
Whoever expedited your EAD, would you let me know when did you get an update after faxing all the documents for EAD expedite request? Anyone got denial after faxing all the materials?
Thanks
