  1. After 5 months of case being in AP, I received the following email from the embassy. They are asking me to submit my passport and an updated physical examination report (the previous one has expired). I don't know does it mean that the AP has been finished and they need my passport to paste the visa on it? Hoping to get your suggestion. BTW, they gave my passport back to me after my interview and I'm holding my passport now.

    Dear applicants,

Under the section 221(g) of the immigration and nationality act, the consulate general is unable to issue you an immigrant visa at this time. If you have already submitted your passport to the consulate general, we will keep your passport with your file pending the insurance of your visa. Further consideration will be given to your visa application after you meet the following requirement(s):

    Requested document(s):

    1. For all applicants: please submit a passport (with at least 8 months validity) and two new visa photos taken within the past 6 months.

    2. Please return to the panel physician for a new medical examination and medical report and then submit the medical report. Please do not mail your chest X-Ray.

    3. Your medical report has expired. You will need to conduct a new one.

  3. Hi!!

Unfortunately there's nothing you can do. My Husband is a Canadian Citizen but was born in Cuba. and has visited US many times. His interview was in May/2015 since then the case is on AP. I have wrote a hundred times, talked to different lawyers and made a couple of congressional inquiries. The answer is always the same... "We need to wait"

Google "Administrative Processing" there's many articles about it.

Hi!! Sorry for ur case! I think eight months are too long!!! Hope both of our cases will end soon! Good luck!

  4. Sorry to hear about your long delay. :( I know how it feels. We were stuck at NVC for eight months and we're going through AP at the moment, but it's request for updated documents.

When we were stuck at NVC, we asked my husband's Senator to make an inquiry on our behalf. 42 days later, we had case complete. Try having the USC contact his or her Senator and get them involved in your case. On their websites, the Senators usually have a section for helping constituents deal with the federal government. You need to fill out a release form, which is usually also on their website, then explain your case and ask the Senator to help you.

Thanks for the suggestion! We ve contacted the congressman office, and been waiting for the response. Hope it will help. It had been four and a half months, still no update. Hope ur case will end soon too!

  5. Our case has been put in administrative processing for 4 months because of my chinese communist party membership.

During the four months, the case was only updated one time by the official. I contacted the embassy in GZ every month, but they really dont give any meaningful information except for repeating that further processing is undergoing.

I am just a rank-and-file member of CCP,and have never been involved in any political activity. I dont konw why the processing takes such a long time, is it possible that I lived outside China for three years for my PhD? Besides living in Japan for several years, I have been to many other countries for academic conferences or school...

We called NVC, the representative doesnt help anything. We tried to get help from a laywer, but it seems he cant help us either at this stage.

We dont know what to do right now.....it is really frustrating, we are hoping to get some advices from friends who are on the same track.

  6. wait a bit, as there's a lag in the queue.

for successful EP processing, you need a consular casefile number that starts with 'GZO'. This notice referenced a consular casefile # starting with 'GUZ', a visual indication (to me) that the case hasn't been converted yet at NVC. Wait a bit.

Thanks a lot! I receive confirmation emails from NVC today. They notified me that my documents have been received, and the GZO case number has been issued. Hope I ll have CC soon!!!

  7. Dear VJers,

I submitted financial supporting and civil documents to NVC by email on 31st, July, but I have not received any comfirmation letter from NVC to notify me that they have received my documents so far. I do not receive notification for email failure delivery either. And then on the next day (1st, August), I received the following email from NVC:

    Dear Applicant,

Thank you for being a valued U.S. Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) customer. Your online Immigrant Visa and Alien

Registration Application Form(DS-260) has been submitted.

    Name Provided: xxx
    Completed On: 15 JULY 2015 23:14:21 EST
    Case Number: GUZxxxxxxxxx

YOUR CONFIRMATION PAGE IS ATTACHED TO THIS EMAIL IN A PDF FILE!

You must follow the instructions on the confirmation page in order for the U.S. Department of State to continue processing your visa

    application.

In the confirmation page attached in this email, it says I should submit financial supporting and civil documents to NVC for the further processing. But these required documents had been sent by email before I got this email. I am not sure whether or not I need to call NVC in this conditon?

  8. Till now no access to portal I got IV invoice by email I mailed both invoices (AOS & IV) with the money order on 6/15 to NVC

I call yesterday the rep. Said I paid only AOS I told her I paid both invoices in on money order she told me email the copy of money order to ask nvc and wait!!!

You got the AOS invoice by email or mail? I have only got the IV invoice by email so far, have not got the AOS invoice.

  9. Yes, we paid by mail last June 15 for the two invoices but we still cant log in to fees payment on the CEAC website. And about the AOS invoice, we received it together with the NVC welcome letter.

Our NVC welcome letter only attched the IV fee invoice, not the AOS Invoice. I dont know why ours is different from yours. I am wondering are there other members here who met the same condition as ours?

  10. Oh bummer. I wonder why it's locked. ? Did you ask her why? Maybe you ought to call them every other day. Lol

Yeh, i can totally relate ? We already have both invoices but we cant pay them online. And we're torn between waiting for the site to get fixed or mail them in ASAP.

I wish this will be over soon. ?

I dont know why it is locked. I called NVC again, the rep. said my case was updating, she asked me to wait and call them again the next day. So I called the next day, fortunately, she said she could choose the agent for me over the phone.

The agent was chosen on 16th, June. I received the IV Processing Fee Invoice on 19th June by email. We still can not log in the portal and pay it on line. So we are considering to pay the fee by mail. But we have not received the AOS Invoice. We dont know when we will receive that one?

How is your case going? Have you paid the fee? Have you received the AOS and IV Invoices at the same time or seperately?

  11. Hello LillyLiu! Welcome ?

What number did you call? I'm assuming the old one. Give this number: 603-334-0888 a ring so you can choose an agent over the phone and have it reviewed right away, just like mine. Lol

Our case number was assigned May 1st. This issue is giving us alot of stress. ?

Hi, Rizza&Dennis, thanks for your suggestion. I did call the new number 603-334-0888 and told her that I want to choose an agent. But I dont know why she said she would ask her supervisor to unlock our case, if we still cant log in in one week, call her again. It is frustrating that you try to log in their website several times every day, and every time it returns error.

  12. hello, everyone. I am new here. Our case number was issued on 4th, June. So far we can not log in to choose the agent. Everytime we try to log in, it shows -- The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered does not match our records. It is really frustrating. We called NVC and the woman said she will ask her supervisor to unlock our case and let us try it next week. Hope we can log in next week. Plz share good news with us if you can log in CEAC.
