  1. The problem is you NEVER did DCF in the first place. DCF only works, if you reside in the country of filing with your spouse. This is clearly NOT the case. All what happened is, that you sent the application to a different address (the London embassy instead of the Chicago Lockbox), and it was forwared to the NVC. You would have been better off just sending directly. Sorry to say, your application is just a regular one and might take another 6-8 months until approved.

    Hi ,

Mark i disagree with your point of view, because it's a DCF case despite the fact that the spouse doesn't live in London. My wife did DCF without my presence at the USCIS Seoul field office. From what the immigration officer told her, after when they approve the I-130 petition , they will send it to the US (he didn't specify if it's at the NVC or not) from there , the case will be send directly to the US embassy in the country where the spouse currently lives. Good luck Mikey

  2. Anyone who tells you not to bring so much evidence so as not to appear "desperate" is not only being misleading but probably also ignorant. According to U.S. immigration laws an alien (non U.S citizen national) seeking admission to the U.S. carries the burden of proof. Burden of proof must be demonstrated satisfactorily before a visa can be issued. For all non-immigrant visas the burden is proof of non-immigrant intent with the exception of K1. For immigrant visas it's proof of bona fide relationship with CR1/IR1 carrying the most burden on immigrant visas because of marriage fraud especially in 3rd world nations as they're considered high risk nations according to the State Department and USCIS. Unlike those adjusting status to permanent residency in the U.S. from a non-immigrant visa, It can be difficult to gather solid evidence with CR1/IR1 applicants since spouses are in the U.S. and vital bona fides such as joint bank accounts, credit cards, rental leases, insurance, tax returns etc are unavailable. As a result CR1/IR1 applicants have to overcompensate to make up for all these with lots of oY

    You're absolutely right.

  5. Thk you very much

Please how can I do to print facebook conversation?thks

You can take screen shots of y'all conversations , and later transfer all the screen shots photos to a computer that have a printer . However due to the nature of things here in Cameroon, i think you should go to an outstanding cyber cafe or documentary offices, you will certainly print out your conversations there.

    Hope you understand my advice.

  7. Hello,

As I said my case status on ceac website show ready since june 1but we didn't receive packet 3 yet.my fiancé called the embassy on june 25 and they said they sent packet 3 since june 5 but we didn't receive it.they sent it again on june 25.so now I am preparing documents.

They asked on packet 3 in the rubrik of proof of relationship to bring photographs, emails ,letters, western union receipts.

Please how many of each can I bring to the interview? because the emails and viber conversations are too much.and for the photograph I don't know

Hello, Evidence are never too much, so bring as many as you can. If possible you should buy a photo album and fill it with y'all photos , as for the viber conversation do the same, i'm not sure about the letter and emails, since as i dont write letters /emails to my wife. I have millions of fb messages as we chat all the time.

Don't be nervous ,just assemble your evidence and go grab your visa ..Good luck to everyone :goofy::dancing:

  8. Hi Ul &Cr, we filled in for the same visa category, but mind was filled in lubbock contrary to yours. Yes, the visa fee is same and the procedure is virtually the same. I have not heard much about DCF, but I know it is widely practiced. I m hoping to received appointment soon as my case is already complete. I wish you good luck in all the processing as well. We re never done until the visa is at hand. Let's put all things in prayer so that the Good Lord see US through this nightmare, especially when our love onces are so distant for a very long period.

Hello, you're right, it's a hard journey but at the end , we'll certainly smile after receiving the visa. As for the DCF it is direct consular filling and that can be done at certain embassies around the world which have the USCIS office attached to it. It's processing time is shorter as compared using the USCIS offices in the US. However when we called the embassy, the lady kinda told my wife that , the spouse have to be there ,a month after we filled directly through the US , my wife went at the embassy in person so as to ask an immigration officer directly, but the immigration officer said ,we can still file through them and it will probably take 2 months maximum.

Notwithstanding since as your case is already completed ,i guess you're close to the end of journey keep the faith up and pray , I really wish to know if the US embassy in Yaounde isn't that complicated, because from what i know from VJ members from Ghana and Nigeria, they really say horrible stories about theirs.

Best of luck "God will make a way"

  9. Ohh good, let's keep our fingers crossed. In the main time could you kindly share with us your visa status as well as how far you ve gone in processing.

Ohh yea why not? In my case i'm going in for CR-1 immigrant visa, we applied already currently at Nebraska service center as written on my timeline.

But after various researches as my wife went to the US embassy, my we decided to go through the DCF aswell , since as the processing time will be less, It sounds hectic paying another $450 but we took the decision since as we both wanna reduce the possible time of being apart .So at this point i'm waiting for my i130 approval hoping that the DCF will reduce the waiting time.
