Well we don't know whether to be excited or not! At 5:07 pm today we got an email from traveldocs saying our documents had been picked up from the embassy and are now ready at VAC center for pickup. (Galleria 360, in Santo Domingo), where we chose to have them sent. I tracked the passport online and it says passport ready for pickup. I signed into our dashboard and it say Passport ready for pickup!!! All great news, but the Visa website still says in AP and has not been updated since the 29th? Is it possible that it happened so late in the day that the computers/website have just not updated?? We will be on our way early am to Santo Domingo, but now what is in my head is, they are returning the passport without the Visa in it??? have become delusional? Have any of you who have gotten your passport seen it in AP even though your visa and passport were ready?

i saw you expedited it, how did that work? Did you pay for it? I think it did help.

Everyone stay together. When you get updated to issued all the way to having it in your hand. It has been a very long process, lets finish it out together.

status update changed again this morning from June 22 to June 29th. That's to changes in date in two days? Does this mean they are moving? Everyone share all updates in this critical time.

some of us are in AP, others "ready", what are we waiting for exactly? Will it say ready to pick up? Or do we have to wait for an email?

Sometime between 6 and 7 pm tonight our status date changed from June 17th to June 22, but still in AP?????

If this is the 29th, why am I just seeing a date change from a week ago? Anyone else have their status date change today? Just trying to make sense of all this?

t what point did you change to ready? Or were you always ready? You had no AP??

Do you have your Visa in hand yet, or still waiting?

not likely to come up at all. Ignore the website that tells you to not get there early. WE got there yesterday at 6:30 for a 7 appointment and we were 230th in line!!! All had a 7 am appointment.

Your timeline helped us a lot. Yesterday while your Visa was ready for pickup, we were in our interview in Santo Domingo!

We got the same result, APPROVED with the same white paper. This morning when I checked status, it said AP???

No one at the embassy informed us of any problems but they said it would take 10 days to two weeks to get the Visa. So when I started reading all the horror stories about being on AP for months, we went crazy. But I know in most places you get a visa in 48 hours, so I was wondering since they had a back log here, if they don't put a lot of Visas on AP until they can issue them. I hope your post has answered our fears with a pleasant answer. You say you went to AP as well, yet you still got your Visa on the schedule they gave us, and it sounds like they did not mention AP to you at the interview either.
