  1. When is your son interview? How old is he? My atty told me to send him the I-864 w my husband signature. Although we knew we submitted it already to NVC he advised to take a copy again on the interview due to the new I-864 that just came out recently. He said the one we had submitted the form has been expired.

Hi, oct 15 will be our interview and he is 4 yrs. old.. thank you

  2. hi guys, pls help, to those who had experienced already.. i just want to make sure what are the documents needed for my son (IR2) during interview at USEM manila. next week will be our interview.thank you for your help.

  3. Thanks Greenbaum.. im so worried coz my son is 4 yrs old. about the checklist, i filled the I-864w and minor mistake only, instead for the principal applicant's name shoud be written in Part 3.. i put my name there. So i would expect that there will be some delays on my wife's case until such time that they can review my son's case.. thank you again

  4. Hi all! i am petitioning my wife and my son and both cases are at NVC. On Aug06, by checking the CEAC website, i saw 3 N/A's on my wife's case but for my son, it doesn't change. Last night we received an email for the checklist on AOS, there is some information need to be corrected, and i am planning to send the corrected AOS next week. I just wanted to clarify this guys coz as what i have understood in my wife's case, it's case complete right? But for my son we have to comply the checklist. Is it possible for them to have the same interview date? pls enlighten me guys. Thank you.

By the way, the AOS checklist was for my son's case

  5. Hello everyone! We are on our way to send our Aos/IV packet to the NVC. I would like to ask if, is it ok if only the Document Cover sheet (which they send to us included in the Welcome letter) will be included on top of our pocket? We are able to pay the AOS fee thru mail because of the system problem and they didn't send us any confirmation email but now we can log in to the ceac and it shows paid but we are trying to click on the payment receipt but it wont open. so i dont know how we can print that AOS barcoded sheet. Thank you.

  6. I have a question on form I-864 (Affidavit of Support) regarding the Sponsor's Household (Part 5). My father is the petitioner and I am his dependent child here in the US. He has US citizenship. Currently, He is sponsoring two people: my step-mother and my step-brother. My step-mother is my step-brother's mother. Both have their own separate I-130 and visa petitions. So my step-mother has her own petition and my step-brother has his own petition.

While filling out form I-864 for both people, Part 3 Item 2 is a checkbox that states:

"I am sponsoring the following family members immigrating at the same time or within 6 months of the principal immigrant named in Part 2. Do not include any relative listed on a separate visa petition."

Since my my step-mother is a principal immigrant on her own form and my step-brother is a principal immigrant on his own form, do I check this checkbox on my step-mother's petition because my step-brother will most likely immigrate at the same time as her?

And Part 5 asks to count the total household size.

How should I count the household size for my step-mother's AOS and for my step-brother's AOS?

I have called the NVC a few times. Each time they gave me a different answer.

Thank you very much! I apologize for the inconvenience.

    Sincerely,

    - Trang
