Interview for the 2nd week of Sept! Once your case goes to the Consulate....CALL...CALL...CALL! Our Consulate didn't contact in regards to the expedite and I was told I had to write them to request the letter so we can do the medical.
Good luck to you all!

Wow! That is a blessing mamapuchis! Congratulations!
thank and it certainly is a blessing!

When you do get to the NVC, if you think your situation merits an expedite, by all means try (make sure you include all evidence). Keep the request factual and not so much emotional...at least that's how I did it. The worst they can do is say no. Our expedite request was approved yesterday and the our case is being sent to the Consulate. We'll have our interview in about 2 weeks.
Dildot....Pretty much as fast as DCF!

I'll be bugging them even before the 12 days, just in case it is given before.
How did you request your expedite? email or phone? How long did it take to approve?
I requested at NVCexpedite email. Once they had everything it took 10 days (including weekends). My understanding is that it depends on the country as to how long it takes because from the NVC they send your request to the Consulate/Embassy that deals with your case

If you think your situation merits an expedite...ASK! The worst that they can say is no. We had our expedite approved today and are being sent to the Consulate!

I sent both of our AOS and IV packets together in one package after I received and paid the AOS. They say that you do not need to wait on the IV fee. When you have all of your documents ready just send them all together in one package with the AOS and checklist cover sheet on top.
ok, thanks! Going to get the police record tomorrow and translate it to be done with the packets and send them!
-
Welcome to August fellow NVCers. Praying for a speedy process for all!
Does it matter who mails in the AOS and IV document packets? Either the petitioner or applicant?
Did you send your both packets with just the AOS barcode or did you wait for the IV fee barcode?

Its the test of faith that we have to wait for NOA2. The processing times for California Service Center show that the I-130 petitions for Mid-June are being processed but why can't we be approved. I am keeping an eye on the processing times as I go through a difficult time of being separated from my loved one. I pray for quick approvals for the Mid-June filers at CSC. Please the Mid-June filers at CSC should keep us posted. I pray the Almighty answers our prayers this week
My friend, God is good all the time and a test of faith is exactly what this is. I pray the process goes quickly for you! God has been so good to us, the whole process so far is moving much faster than we expected. We made it through CSC in 1 month hoping more of you get those approvals soon...families shouldn't have to be apart.

I'm living in Australia. I put USA as domicile and included the letter and that part of my AOS was fine. Just a heads up to help avoid a checklist, if you are just sending in a copy of your tax return and not tax transcript, be sure to have a letter explaining why you don't have a W-2. We got a checklist for that. Though according to NVC, we just have to bring that to the interview. I think.
Hey there! Thank you! I've been a homemaker so...no taxes for me. I had to write a letter explaining that.

Yes do update us on every detail throughout your journey for it helps us know how you're doing with your case and it also helps you as you share your ideas with other VJ members here
(I did say".... to update your Visa Journey here" when I started this thread..
)
Also thank you so much for your consideration.. I for one am without my husband and it just doesn't feel normal to be separated like this. IT hurts greatly BUT I know being patient, loving with my husband and believing that one day all this will be over is the key to holding on in this journey.
All the best with your journey Mamapuchis and the rest, who are going through NVC
To the rest of us still waiting for our NOA2... Our time will come
it will come and happen at the Right Time
Nothing is normal about this process. You'll have your approval soon enough!
I was able to pay my AOS fee today. (Got my case number on Friday) They seem to be moving right along.

I thought I'd share because other people's timelines are helpful. NVC recieved our case July 22nd and we got our case number today August 7th (roughly 17days).
I think of you those of you waiting for those approvals daily. I pray the wait is much shorter than expected, especially for those of you who are not with your spouse.

I got our case number today and am checking over my AOS documents to have them ready to go. Can someone help me out with what to put for domicile? I've lived in Ecuador for the last 7 years. Do I put Ecuador as Domicile and then do the letter declaring intent to reestablish domicile with evidence of how I've maintained domicile in the US over the last 7 years (ie: maintained bank accounts, credit cards ect) or do I put U.S.A as domicile? I'm probably making this more complicated than necessary, but I seriously don't want any checklists.

Called NVC today and received both our case and invoice ID numbers. Provided our email addresses as well. Question, since we provided our email addresses, do we still have to fill out the DS-261?
Yeah! I'm so glad to hear you guys got your case number...hopefully mine is coming soon too!

Dear fellow VJers your expert help is needed with my AOS. I have been a homemaker for the last 7 years with 0 income. I recently accepted a job in the U.S. When it asks for my income do I put my anticipated salary for the upcoming year and a copy of the contract or do I put 0. I should add the job doesn't begin until the end of August, but I am considered employed by this particular school district.

I recently was offered and I accepted a job. I have been unemployed for the last 7 years (I've been a homemaker). Do I put what I'll be making this year for my income or do I put 0? The job doesn't start until the end of August but I have a contract.

Called the NVC this morning and they received our case 2 days ago......LET'S GO CASE NUMBER!!! It took exactly 14 days (including weekends) for them to get the case from the approval date at the UCSIS.
Thinking daily of those of you who are waiting on approvals...don't get discouraged.

So the message on USCIS on processing "if the field office or service center is meeting it's goals for processing a form, you will find the time frame listed in months.
However, if the office is experiencing a processing delay, you will find the filing date if the last case that the office completed before updating the chart"
So January 16, 2014. Lord help us.
I know someone filed in May at CSC just got NOA2. How can these service centers be so off. I'm crying for me and my wife right now.
I hope that isn't case. While the forums and the info online can be helpful and can cause a lot of anxiety too, relax and have faith it goes faster than you expect and when is doubt call the UCSIS. Good luck to you!

I received my NOA-2 on July 9th. I called NVC yesterday and they said my cases were received on July 15. No case numbers have been assigned and I was told it may be mid -August before that might happen. I'm going to call once a week, though, to see if case numbers may be assigned before then.
Surprisingly, I got through on my first call and waited only 1-2 minutes before speaking to someone.
I got the same answer this morning when i called too. Hoping they are faster than what they say!

Our hard copy NOA2 stated that our case was sent to the NVC. The current wait time for the NVC to receive a case is about 2 weeks, so i would suggest calling the NVC next week around the 23d or 24th to verify that they have received your case.
Thanks! I guess I'm just anxious
. No case number for you guys yet?
-
For those who received the NOA 2, does the hard copy say anything special? And did you receive notice that your petition was being sent to the NVC? I tried to call the NVC, but I seriously don't know how anybody mananges to get through...I got a message all day saying that all the operators where busy. I called UCSIS but they said that the system hasn't been updated....and they don't know if my petition was sent or if it is still at the California Service Center. I'm going to try for an expedite at NVC and really want to know if the papers have been sent... Suggestions?

EP is not available for Ecuador.
Well thanks for squashing my hopes and dreams (JK
). I guess it was wishful thinking on my part, I suppose. It would make more sense if they were going to get rid of DCF in the majority of countries if they'd just let us all EP. Guess I should get stuff together then to send out, so family can send it along to NVC as soon as I am permitted to do so. Thank for letting me know it's not a possibility!
-
is ecuador newly on the EP list ?
I don't know..is there a list? For some reason when I read the NVC site about electronic processing I thought you could choose. Is the EP processing only available to certain countries? If I can't EP I'm sending my stuff out to family so it can be sent as soon as I can.

You have to request the expedite through email at the address that Ahmara gave above. I had other reasons for asking for an expedite but mine was appoved a little over a week after I sent it. Doesn't hurt to try.
