  1. Our interview was scheduled for yesterday January 27th at 12.35pm. We arrived around 12pm and there was a line up by the security checkpoint which took us about 10 mins to clear up. We were sitting at the waiting room by 12.15pm and there was a lot of people in the waiting room. We waited for about 2 hrs before a lady officer called us into her office. She asked us for our IDs and passports. She then went through the questions on I-485 and went through I-131 as well. She also asked us how we met and how we ended up here. At the end of the interview she told us we would get a notice in the mail and I would be getting a 10 yr green card as we've been married for two years now. I received a text this morning that my card was approved. Overall it was a pleasant experience

  2. Hi All,

Just looking for advise. My EAD was sent to the wrong address and was kept at the forwarding center for the last two weeks. I contacted the USPS and they confirmed that my card was sent back to USCIS but I haven't received any update yet. I submitted a service request to USCIS on Sept 27 and I got a reply saying I should hear something by Oct 19th. So my questions are 1) what's the timeline like for a card to be replaced? 2) Would it be worth it to contact ombudsman in this circumstance? Thanks all

  3. The same thing happened to me and another person I've been talking to.

Go here https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.doand put in a service request for "Did not receive card by mail" It takes about 30 days for them to answer, and they might make you wait 30 days for the lost card. In both mine & the other persons cause, USPS sent it back to USCIS as it was unforwardable, and lost it for almost a month in the forwarding center.

You should also change your address, again, separately, for each pending case. We've moved twice and the original address had our interview waiver letter sent to it. Mildly terrifying that they can't keep track of mail.

    Good luck!

Thanks so much for replying to my post and for your advise. I have submitted a request for another one to be mailed out. USPS also called me this morning to let me know that it has been sent back to USCIS. Do you think there would be a need to involve ombudsman in this situation. It's now been 18 days till it was mailed out. Thanks for your help

  4. Hi guys, so my EAD was sent out on September 10th to my old address ( I updated USCIS of my new address on Sept 1st). Because of the change of address, my package was sent to the mail forwarding center and it's been there since Sept 12th and I'm yet to receive my EAD. I have spoken to several USPS supervisors and they keep assuring me I'll get my package in a few days but this hasn't happened. I opened a case with USPS and it was no help. Do you guys think I should request for another card to be sent by USCIS or do you have any suggestions? Thanks guys

  5. So just out of curiousity, does EAD approval mean that the card is in production or do I get a separate status update letting me know that the card is in production? Thanks so much guys. I'm so frustrated as I have a job offer already but can't start working coz of this card. When I call USCIS, they told me they can't do anything to speed up the production of the card as it has already been approved. Any suggestions?

  6. What does your online status say when you check it, does it say that they mailed your card to you, or it is still approved?

As soon as they mail you the card you should get it within 2 days!

My online status shows that the EAD was approved and it's been like that for two weeks now. Is there anything I can do to hasten the process coz I have a job offer and I'm just waiting on the card.

    Thanks

  7. Hi Everyone,

I applied for my Aos on June 15th. I received the notice of approval for my EAD on August 21st but I haven't received my card yet. When I call USCIS, they told me there's a delay in card production and could take up to 60 days to receive my card. Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone advise me what steps I should take?

    Thanks so much

  8. Hello everyone,

I am filing I-130 and I-485 concurrently (My husband is the petitioner and I'm the beneficiary). My father is not listed on my birth certificate but he is listed on my marriage certificate. I was wondering if I should list his name on my forms although I have no way of proving he is my father?

Thanks for your help in advance,
