  1. Howdy,

So my Anita, hopefully should be getting her visa soon. I started to look for airfare. I found this Lufthansa flight that goes Amman -> Frankfurt -> Los Angeles. But believe it or not, Germany needs a visa just for her to TRANSIT THERE !!! Literally get out of one airplane and into another one ! What is this ? So I guess I have to find another route, but I just wanted to vent...

    LOL

  2. Hi !

My Anita is one step closer to her Visa !! She left Baghdad today and arrived safely in Amman. Her Appointment is May 15 !! :D . I heard that the embassy is actually speeding up some appointment's, so I'm hoping that they will speed up her date. Now that I'm at ease about her being out of Baghdad, now I can start worrying about the whole interview process... LOL

  3. Is there any site that will tell you specifically about cheap flights between your city and the foreign city you want to go to? I am on several lists that just send me all the deals, and some that will notify me about deals to a US city, but haven't found any that would email me specifically when there's a good fare for Casablanca.

    Any suggestions?

    I always try www.kayak.com

  4. Below Is an email from the embassy ? Do you guys have any feedback ? I feel like super scared.

    Dear Rany,

Your wife's visa category doesn't require a passport to enter the U.S,

she will enter there on her visa.

    Hello,

This is in regards to my wife's case Anita . My wife now has a

"S" Iraqi passport. But I read on your website that she may not need

a "G" passport as she is immigrating to the US. Can you please

advise me if my wife needs a new passport ?

    thank you for your time

  6. Just a little tid-bit for those of you going through Amman.....according to one of their GLORIOUS representatives, once your Visa has been issued and you have mailed them your passport and they have received it, it will be approximately 3-4 weeks for them to insert the Visa into your passport and get it back in the mail.....and we all know what 3-4 weeks in "Amman embassy Language" really means....

Do you guys know if the processing time is the same for a Spouse vs. Fiance ?

  7. Is anyone else having this issue ?

My wife has an appointment at the US Embassy in Amman on May 15, 2007. I got word that the US is no longer accepting older Iraqi passports as they are too easy to manipulate. So now, everyone and their mother is rushing to get a new passport. The Iraqi embassy in Jordan is not issuing replacement passports and is advising people to go back to baghdad to get a passport. Now to top things off, I'm trying to plan a reception here in the US about two months after her interview, do you guys think that is cutting it too short ????

  8. Hello,

I don't know if I'm over reacting about this or not? I emailed the embassy in Amman, Jordan. They told me that once they get the package from the NVC that they are currently scheduling interviews for June 2007. We are in September 2006. Is anyone else experiencing this ? I'm hoping that they just misunderstood. I've been working on my wifes case since March 2006.

    thanks

  9. Hi All,

I had a paralegal complete my I-130 & I-129F while I was in Amman, jordan. I have mailed off both of the apps, and looking over the copies I made, looks like there was an error made on the I-130, on the question that asks if you ever have applied for this person before, the paralegal put down NO, when it should have been yes (I had applied for the same person as a fiance before we were married and it was denied). Should I send a letter now ? or wait until the date of the interview and point it out to them ????

    thanks !!

    rany

p.s. I'm still waiting for the NOA2 on the I-129f and it feels like a century has gone by !!!
