When I emailed them they said they are still processing it and will email us when they have issued the visa. I did ask if there was an issue and they didn't address that in their response so I assume that there was no issue. Do you know if it is normal for the status on ceac to stay in READY versus AP? because the READY status was updated on the 15th of September meaning someone had to had looked at our information and did something, but I don't know I'm just anxious lol.

Has any one experienced a delay in their K1 visa pick-up after approval in Nigeria. My fiancee was approved September 4th and on the ceac website the status still says READY but it was updated on the September 15th, I was also able to track his passport at first on ustraveldocs.com and cannot anymore. Can I please have some insight because this is driving me crazy and making me worried.

Hi memlaura I wanted to know if your husband got his visa yet? My fiancee had his interview Sept 4th and we are still waiting for the visa we emailed the consulate they just keep saying that some visas are taking longer than others. This is so frustrating.

Have you received your visa? currently going through something similar and my fiancee visa isn't ready yet!

How dumb can I be? So this whole time I have been doing the filling process for my fiancee K1 I have been using his middle name as his first and his first name as his middle(he goes by his middle name). I am not sure if it will make a huge impact on the process because he have our interview in september. I discovered the error while we were doing the DS-160/ and scheduling online and it asked us to put the name as it appears on your passport and I saw the reversal. Does anyone have anytype of input as to what the ramifications are and how I can rectify the problem.

So me and fiance have completed the steps in getting our interview (YaHHH) but I have an issue:

Is it a big deal if his first name and middle name are reversed, for example on his passport it says John Jacob, but on the DS-160 form it says Jacob John. The last name is in the correct place.

If it is a problem how should I go about correcting it?

Hello all,

I have been bouncing back and forth and still not 100% certain what to do next. My Fiance and I K1 application stated READY when tracking on the NVC/CEAC website but I am a little confused as what to do next. Are we the one to schedule the interview online or are we to wait for an interview date from the embassy/consulate? I have seen so many conflicting things. I know each country is very different and I really needs some who knows specifically about NIGERIA and their process to possible give me some feedback.
