  1. was about the renewal of a ukrainian passport by a ukrainian citizen, which is certainly not against the law of either ukraine or the united states, hence it wasn't violating the rules of this forum.

and to those who morally disapprove of undocumented aliens seeking help, i have to say this: as someone who became an american citizen "the legal way", i harbor none of your hostility toward people who live hard lives, work their butts off, can't visit their homelands, and generally make enormous sacrifices so their children can have a future.

they are certainly as deserving of advise as a bunch of mail order brides.

  2. the Mexican governement issues passports to undocumented aliens in the US, thus I don't see why Ukraine wouldn't do something similar.

maybe the mexican government does but the ukrainian embassy doesn't (as you can verify on the link you provided).

why do people waste their time answering questions when they don't know the answer? oh, right, so they can feel righteous about doing things the legal way.

i don't need lectures, i need answers to a very practical question. clearly this wasn't the right forum.

  3. the ukrainian embassy requires proof of legal presence in the US. what is an undocumented ukrainian to do when his / her passport is about to expire? is it possible to circumvent the consulate and deal directly with ukraine (by mail)? can ukraine really deny ID to its own citizens who do not abide by some OTHER country's immigration laws?

any help would be much much appreciated.
