Thanks! It took almost 2 weeks. It was issued on March 1. We weren't able to track it on UStraveldocs- so it was a nice Saturday surprise .
-
March must be a busy month for the embassy. My fiancé received his visa today!
-
Hi Navid,
Just curious, has your visa been delivered yet?
-
Hello,
My fiance also has no surname. However, when we received our NOA 1, USCIS made his "name" into his surname and FNU (First Name Unknown) as his last name. This was the same procedure we followed for his DS-160 form.

They do immigration interviews at connecting airports in the U.S. For example, your final destination may be Los Angeles, but your first touch in the U.S. may be in Chicago. If that's the case, your interview would be in Chicago. There are a very small number of airlines/airports which administer pre-clearance (immigration) interviews outside of the U.S. Abu Dhabi is one (partnered with Ethihad Airlines), Dubai (Emirates Airlines) does not.
-
I may be wrong, but I don't think you do any Immigration interviews in Dubai. If that's the case, three hours should be fine.
-
Congrats!!

FNM yes I understand that I might be in a longer AP. Its the lack of any updates that worries me. It still show the interview date. Oh well
Good luck to you both on the next chapter and many many congratulations to you LoveSunny on your upcoming Mehndi
Hang in there RKX1101, we're also in the same boat- no status updates since 12/21. Hope they both get issued soon

Congratulations!

No, the status date hasn't changed since 12/21/15.

Hello everyone,
Has anyone gone a few weeks (months) without having your CEAC status date updated? Allow me to explain:
My fiance had his interview in Islamabad (Pakistan) on 12/16/15. He was approved . His case changed from Immigrant to Non-Immigrant on 12/17/15. On 12/21/15, it went into AP and has been untouched ever since. Isn't the date supposed to update when your case is "touched"?
I sent an email to the embassy and got a response quickly (1/20/16), but the date hasn't changed.
My fiance was contacted by the embassy twice (1/29/16, 2/1/16) and the date still reads 12/21/15.
Is anyone even looking at his case when responding to emails or calling him? Is this normal?
Thanks!

Hello everyone! Hope you all are doing well. Can anyone please tell me how this CEAC status updated date works? My interview was on 9Feb, everything went well Alhamdulillah, the CO did not even see the pictures and just asked three questions and said that I will get my passport in 3 weeks. My wife asked him is it approved he said YES. I dont know why he said 3 weeks but, however, my Status updated date on CEAC changed on the interview day, on 10 Feb and on 11 Feb. Today is 12 Feb and today its did not change. Is the commitment CO gives for the timeframe true? I am more worried about it. Can anyone please tell me how it works? I am really confused
Thanks in advance
My fiancé was also approved during his interview and was told that he would have his passport in 10 days. That was 8 weeks ago and he's currently also in AP. Be patient, it may not be 3 weeks, but it will come. Congratulations!

@Lkhan123
Thanks. We contacted them about a month later and got a standard "Your case is in Administrative Processing..." reply. There's really nothing to do to speed up the process. In the meantime, thank goodness for skype and whatsapp

We're still in AP

Hello,
My fiancé had his interview 8 weeks ago in Islamabad. He was told that he was approved, but ended up going into AP. In your case, there shouldn't be anything to worry about, AP seems to be the "normal" route for visa seekser from Pakistan. However, it might take longer than 2-3 weeks. Good luck!

Unfortunately, no. How about you?

Hello Everyone,
My fiance (the beneficiary) received a phone call from the U.S. Embassy (Islamabad) asking if he'd ever been to Iraq. He's never left the country, so he said no. The Embassy said okay and asked him to send them a statement confirming his answer, which he will do on Monday. Now for my question- does this mean that his AP *may* be over soon?
Here is a little background information regarding our K1 Visa Journey:
- 12/16/2015: Interview- "Congratulations! You'll receive your visa in 10 days"
- 12/17/2015: Case changed from "Immigrant" to "Nonimmigrant", Status read "Ready"
- 12/21/2015: Status changed from "Ready" to "Administrative Processing"
Thanks,
Uzma

No update for us either. We're going on 6 weeks since the interview and 5 weeks in AP. Maybe it will change this week?
-
Hello,
Have you contacted the embassy? If so, have they gotten back to you? I ask because I remember reading (on the "Ready" status page) to contact them after two business days if you have not yet received your passport.
My fiancé's experience was similar to yours except they congratulated him and told him that he would receive his passport in 10 days. The day after his interview, his status changed from immigrant to nonimmigrant. Four days after that, it changed to AP and has been stuck there ever since with no date changes/updates.
Good luck, I'm sure you will get it soon!

Hello all,
I received a random email from NVC this evening, stating that they were done processing my fiancé's case (4 months ago) and that it had been sent to the embassy. I never emailed/contacted NVC regarding his case, and I just thought it was strange to see this email.
Has anyone else received something similar to this? Thanks!

so today i got reply of email , i missed call from embassy # and later today i got this e-mail.
do u think they called me to return my passport?as they have it, or they call applicant and say come and get your passport ,u are denied?
i dont know whats temporarily refused ? never heard about that? pls share views what this whole thing mean??
Dear Applicant,
Your fiancé visa case is temporarily refused for having pending administrative processing. Hope this answers your question.
Sincerely,
Immigrant Visa Unit,
Consular Section, American Embassy
Islamabad, Pakistan

This does sound like you're still in AP, otherwise, I'm sure they would have confirmed that you were refused. Out of curiosity, did you mention your CEAC status in your email to them? How long did they take to respond to you?

My fiance had his K1 interview on December 16. He was told that he was approved and that he would receive his passport and visa in 10 business days. He still hasn't received anything and his case says Administrative Processing. As others have said, just be patient. Congratulations!

My fiancé didn't receive packet 4 until about a month after he sent in packet 3.5- this was in October before the holiday rush. Things may be a little slow right now due to the holidays. I hope it all works out.

Hello everyone,
My fiancé had his interview on December 16. The CO told him that he was approved and that he would have his visa in 10 business days. We were pretty excited .
On December 17, his case changed from immigrant to nonimmigrant on the CEAC website, all the while saying "ready". On December 21, his status changed from "ready" to "administrative processing". Neither the status nor the date has changed since. Does anyone have any similar experiences? Thanks!

Hello everyone,
For those who are worried about not receiving anything after changing your address- we got our NOA yesterday; two weeks after our package was received by CSC. Good luck to everyone else waiting!
