  1. Do you know how long that takes? It has said issued for 4 days. I'm sorry. I just am really anxious to have him here. We have been together a long time and this process has been really long for us.

Issued doesn't mean it ready. On ustraveldocs it was say ready for pick up that's when he can go pick it up. Make sure he bring a copy of the appointment confirmation page that he used to get in the us embassy also a pic id

  2. I know I should know the answer to this, but I don't and I'm scared it's bad. Please be patient with this question. We had our interview 1/28/16 and our visa was approved. I've been checking CEAC and it just said Ready until today. Now it says Administrative Processing. Is this different than Administrative Review? Is it a good thing or bad thing? In your experience did you/your fiance get your/your fiancé's visa in your/your fiance's passport shortly after that? My visa has been taking over a year and a half so I don't want it to be bad.

  3. So I finally have an interview scheduled for the end of January. My process has been about a year and a half.

If and when we get the visa approved at the interview, which I am going to, how long does it take to get the visa in hand after?

I see most people get it about a week later. The reason I am asking is because I am going to the interview and I am staying for about 9 days. Our interview is on 1/28/2016 and I am going to leave 2/5/16 which is a week and a day after interview. I am hoping he can just fly home with me. I know this is a long shot but I am just curious when most people have received their visas in hand after. I have looked at people's timelines but I thought I would just ask in a mass message.

  4. So I got a strange notification from USCIS notifying me my I-129F was approved 9/10/15. I called NVC and told them my situation and asked what it means because USCIS was closed. It seems like calling the supervisor a few weeks ago really helped. It possibly got my petition the push it needed. I will call USCIS on Monday but I'm hoping it means I will have no more bumps in the road. I'm crossing my fingers. It appears my case got lost in limbo and sent back to TSC and then they re-approved it. I have no idea. I'm hoping this is good news!

  5. Thank you. I am hoping the supervisor at NVC I talked to finds something out. He said he has tried for other people and he still hasn't heard anything after 3 weeks. I feel like my senator was absolutely no help. They have not looked into the issue as I asked and I just sent an email that they did not respond to. I am really hoping for some good news from the supervisor from NVC

  6. So I got a response from Senator Warren's office. My case had been sent back to TSC after being sent to NVC and they were absolutely no help. There response from USCIS is that my case was approved 5/28/2015 and it was sent to NVC 6/8/15.

I then called NVC after getting home from work and they told me the same thing that my case was not received yet. I actually broke into tears. I was trying so hard to hold it in because I didn't want to sound stupid. I asked if anyone could help me because I have tried everything. They finally got a supervisor on the phone for me. The supervisor has to contact TSC and also a few other places and also check their mail room. They are going to call me with answers. I honestly feel so powerless.

  7. I put a request in with the ombudsman yesterday. I hope that helps. I emailed the senator's office again. I set up an appointment with infopass. My I-797 expires 9/27/15 and I am freaking out about that because if that expires I don't know what to do.

Do I just go to the embassy's website and email them or something?

Thank you for all your help. I really don't want to start over if I don't have to.

  8. Please clarify your post. You the petitioner cannot apply for visa of your fiance only the beneficiary can.

So, are you talking about the petition I-129F or the visa application submitted by your fiance (beneficiary)?

Those are two different situations .....

You actually are just getting caught on the wording. It's the petition and I am the petitioner.

  9. I applied for my fiance visa October 2014. I got my second NOA 5/28/15 and notification 6/8/15 that my case has been sent to NVC. I called one week after that and they said they received my case 6/15/15 but I called every day after that and they said they don't have my case yet.

I got my local state senator involved because it was July and I was still not hearing anything. NVC told me to email nvcresearch@state.gov but they still have not emailed me back. My state senator finally got a hold of someone in July and they were told my case was sent back to TSC. The senator's office put an inquiry to TSC and I still have not heard anything.

I called USCIS and they told me before I can inquire with them I have to wait 180 days. I know that is just a ballpark time frame because that is what they do. However I am not waiting 6 months to hear something.

My question is, should I wait until I hear something from from USCIS? Or should I start over? Should I go down get married and start a I-130? I don't want to wait 6 months for sure but should I give it time or just revoke the I129F and start from the beginning

  10. I also have had issues with NVC. I got my NOA2 5/28/15 and got notice that my case was sent to NVC 6/8/15. I have called almost every day and they told me they don't have it. I got a state senator's office involved because the situation was ridiculous. Last month the state senator's office told me that my case was sent back to TSC. I called USCIS and they told me I couldn't inquire for 180 days. I have to wait over 6 months before I have a right to know anything. The state senator has contacted TSC but they have not heard anything yet. It has been over a month since the contacted them. I am thinking of starting over. Getting married and doing the I-130. This situation is beyond ridiculous.

  11. I did get my NOA2 5/28/15. USCIS updated my case online saying it was sent to NVC 6/8/15. I called NVC a week letter and they told me they received it 6/15/15, however I called back every day since then and they told me they don't have it. Then the update as of last Monday 7/20 was that it's in pre-sort. However, I had a state senator look into it and they told me that NVC sent it back to TSC.

  12. I'm having major problems with NVC. I can't get any information out of them.i got my NOA2 5/28/15. My application was sent to the Department of State 6/8/15. I called about a week later 6/17 and they said they received it 6/15. Now every time I have called since they said they don't have it yet and please wait 35 days. It's been 35 days since NOA2. Any insights? I feel like I have no power. My grandmother just passed away and I really want my fiance here for her memorial service. I'm so devastated by this whole process. I thought the NVC was supposed to be the easy and fast part. Everyone else's who has been approved after mine has already been sent to the consulate

  13. I got a notice online June 8th saying my petition was sent to the Department of State. In the email the words said once your case is approved it will be sent the National Visa Center or Department of State. From my knowledge they are the same thing but the National Visa Center still doesn't have my petition and it was approved May 28th and sent to the Department of State june 8th.

  14. I called the NVC last week and they said they received it 6/15. Now they are telling me that they have no record of the case when I called today. How is this possible. Is anyone else having any issues with NVC? I mean I know we all have constant issues with them..

  15. So I'm in a similar situation. My fiance is in the Dominican Republic but he is Haitian. I applied for the embassy in Haiti though because I didn't think they would allow him to have the interview in the DR. Will that cause an issue with the visa? Will they change the embassy to where he lives? I applied in October 2014 and I know they are starting to work on October cases but I'm starting to worry that something is not right.
