  1. Hello Everyone:

We had a successful AOS interview today at the Los Angeles office. It was pretty straight forward. It took us only 25 minutes total.

If anyone has any specific questions, I will love to answer them.

Thank you everyone for all the help.

Once again we sincerely appreciate all the help.

    With Regards,

    Mr. and Mrs. ET

Congratulations!!!!! I'm truly happy for you! I have my interview this next Friday and I'm confident, although a little anxious. I do have a question for you: of the things they requested you to bring, did they ask to see any of them? I'm preparing a folder with everything and I just wanted to know. Some people say they didn't ask to see anything, others say they asked to see one thing or the other.

Thank you and once again, congratulations!

The interviewing officer asked for most of the original documents they list in the appointment letter. It doesn't hurt to take everything with you. They did not ask us for any pictures but I still would recommend taking pictures with you. There were few couples who had to run their cars to get pictures. Just be organized and prompt. Good Luck!!

  3. Thanks for your reply. I think we have all the documents we may need for the interview. We have a joint checking account and thousands of pictures. We also have copies o emails, invitation cards for the marriage and receptions. What type of questions did the immigration officer asked you? Were they more personal questions or about family?

Any tips you may offer will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

  4. Hello Everyone,

I have been VJ member for almost a year now. Finally my wife's AOS interview is scheduled for 10/24/2006 in Los Angeles. Did anyone have their AOS interview done in Los Angeles? Are their any specific things we should watch out for or be aware of? We have all the necessary documents but those immigration officers are capable of throwing a curve ball at you. I would appreciate any tips and 'watch outs'

    Thank you everyone

    Hello Everyone,

My wife entered US on K3 visa and we are adjusting her status now. We just received interview date and one of the required documents is a completed Medical exam. She already had her medical exam in India in May of 2006. With our AOS petition, we did send out Vaccination supplement (693A). Does she need Medical exam again? Has anyone dealt with similar situation? Any help will greatly be appreciated.

judging from what i have read in various postings in here, since her medical is less than a year old at the time you filed for AOS, she doe s not need another full blown medical.

  7. My wife entered the US last week on a K3 visa. We had terrible time dealing with the people at the US embassy in New Delhi and i don't want to send her back for her IR-1/CR-1 interview. Is there any deadline by which AOS applications must be filed? Her I-130 petition at the NVC and we just send back choice of agent form and paid the AOS bill.

Any help will greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks

  8. K3 petition for my wife is alerady been processed by the overseas consulate and our I-130 was just approved yesterday. We are expecting interview date sometime in June for the K3 visa. Is it better to send her back to the native country for her CRL processing or we should file AOS after she comes to US. Any input would greatly be appreciated. I want to find out all the pros and cons of both approaches before making the decision.

Thanks in advance for the help.
