  1. Do you guys regularly see discrepancies between the old site and being logged into MyUSCIS? The old site says we were approved, and the immigration officer on the call confirmed on Friday that our card was ordered for processing, but just adding the info into MyUSCIS shows our fingerprints still being reviewed. I'm assuming we just stick to what the immigration officer said over the phone?

We're so anxious with this upcoming flight and praying that it gets here soon.

Me too, I got approved!! Please add me to the list!

Did you get your card yet? I'm trying to see how quickly it comes after the site tells you the approval letter will be mailed. We're scheduled to leave country on Wednesday and just got approved today. I'm thinking we should reschedule for Sunday, but don't want to risk the card not getting here in time.

  3. Well, they weren't helpful at all. Basically we can't schedule an appointment to get a stamp because our reason for travel isn't an emergency. It's our abuela's 80th birthday, but doesn't qualify as an emergency. Basically we can't travel until the green card arrives, which can take up to 60 days she said. We just got notified on the site that the approval letter is on its way. With our trip less than a week, I'm thinking we're going to have to cancel :(

  4. The old site was just updated to say that our new card was ordered and will be mailed. We're traveling to Argentina next week for a long booked visit for 2 weeks. We have the paper that extends the original green card and it is still valid. Are we safe to travel and re-enter with the original extension letter? I don't have confidence the card will arrive before we leave.

  5. Hey everyone,

My Argentine wife and I have moved to the SF Bay Area 7 months ago and are looking for some new friends. I'm originally from the area, but it's been hard for us to meet other couples like us and for my wife to make new friends outside Argentina. She just started a new job but the people there are older so it's hard to relate and have things in common. The immigration experience is truly unique, and I feel making new friends who have gone through similar experiences would be awesome.

Is anyone living in the SF Bay Area and want to meet up? Anyone else having a hard time adjusting and making new friends?

Send me a message and let's coordinate!

    Best,

    James
