  1. Hello everyone,

I mailed in my wife's I-751 on Aug 28th, the check was cashed shortly after and I thought all was on track. But we still, 3 weeks later, have not received a NOA1 letter, and yesterday we got a ASC Appointment Notice for biometrics. I called USCIS and of course they gave the standard "NOA1 can take up to 30 days." Looking at the timelines posted, this doesn't seem normal and several people who sent their packet days after we did have already received a NOA1.

Should I be worried or is this normal?

    Thanks a bunch! :)

    Jim

  3. jtbredemus - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let it arrive soon. I'll keep the positive vibe going...

woohoo! finally another one of us! congrats!

curious....how many touches did you get and when?

just grasping at some kind of pattern.....

It was strange... no touches since 7/27. I had 3 touches in a row on the 25th, 26th, and 27th and nothing since. then.

  4. A well deserved and earned... CONGRATS!!! Does you case shoot straight back to the Embassy?

I don't know, there is still an ongoing debate about whether our petitions are getting sent to VSC or straight to the consulate. I just hope it gets to the embassy fast because it is easy to get an interview and Prague which means my sweetheart could be coming very soon.

  5. great news! my case was approved in the past hour!! i hope the rest of you start getting those emails, now!:dance::dance::D

:yes: Congrats!! I'm so happy to see VSC is back at work!

I guess this negates the theory that they are going in alphabetical order by country since you were a UK petition...

  6. my case was touched today after over a week of nothing. fingers crossed that some good will come for us all soon, eh?

That's great news. My case has been collecting dust for a week also, and it appears this has been the case for most of recall folks. I hope this means they are finally going to start approving some more of us.

  7. What kind of happy pills are you taking? Can you send some my way? I cannot sleep without Ambien. I can't even get myself to the gym to workout some of this stress. My skin is breaking out. I am incredibly bitchy and snappy. I want to march into the office of the director of CSC and give her one huge piece of my mind. I cannot even call my senator's office contact and b*tch and moan because I know she has nothing to tell me. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I hear ya sistah! I'm ready to march in somewhere and rip somebody a new one! Either that or install some glass navels so some of those responsible for this debacle can see out, their heads apparently being lodged so far up...DAYUM!

VJ should start a new "Mad as hell and not going to take it anymore" forum. I feel your pain. For us recall folks, one of the worst things is knowing that they approved our petitions the first time in less than a month (in may case in 8 days!), which just goes to show that when they want to get these things done they can.

  8. After being touched 3 times in a row last week, I haven't been touched all week. I haven't seen anyone on the board who has been touched or approved this week from VSC. What have they been doing all week?

I've read the theory that they are helping CSC "catch up" this week, which I selfishly hope for all VSCers sake is not true because many of us having been waiting for a long time also.

Anyone out there have any sign that VSC is working this week?

    Good luck to everyone!!

  9. hello everybody my RFE was received 8 JULY and stillgot no NOA2

DOES ENEYBODY HAVE SAME DATE AND STILL NO NOA2 ????????????????:angry:

Slow down cowboy. You're talking to some people here who still haven't gotten an RFE, an they have NOA1s from March and April. Your day will come soon enough. Trust me, just sit back and relax.

  10. What a quiet day.

I thought we would start seeing some action today.

It´s too damn quiet and it´s August, already.

Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

    Anyone called VSC lately?

screw VSC! congress is on recess. i'm making appointments! (hopefully.....some how i don't think they care either :crying:

I called VSC today. Spoke with a completely useless man who was not only unhelpful but was unfriendly. Got the standard "call back in 30 days" response. Reminded again why I don't bother calling them anymore.

  11. I have been a member for a long time using the VJ website and I am very thankful for all the help it has provided me.

It seems like all of us waiting on petitions aren't asking too much. We all have loved ones far away and long to see them. I myself have travelled across the ocean four times to see my fiance. What choice do I have in our crazy world? Life is so hard having to listen to tears on the other end of a telephone line.

Just yesterday I got a letter from my Senator saying that he didn't approve of the Immigration Reform. Senator Sunnunu (NH) went on to speak about immigrant status of people who have been here for a long time and how they could get citizenship.

Buddy you didn't even read a word of my letter. I wrote about IMBRA and how it keeps loved ones apart and he sends out a generic letter that doesn't address anything I wrote about.

Anyhow, everyone hold in there. MY RFE was received by VSC on June 18th and I haven't been touched at all.

The process is long and hard. I'm not worried at all, but I think that our system is so inefficient.

I just had to vent. It's been a long hard time alone.

    Good luck to all.

    Tim

Your timeline looks a lot like mine. NOA2 in early April, case sent to the embassy, packet 3 received, then had it all taken away. My RFE was received by VSC on June 20th, and except for 2 touches on July 26 and 27th, I haven't been touched since.

I'm also not worried, I'm sure within "30 days" my visa will be approved. But I also sometimes need to vent, I sort of went off to my parents yesterday about how incompetent all these people are. My parents asked if I had called them or contacted my sentators and I just laughed.

Good luck Tim, I'm sure one of these days some VSC employee will spot all of our recall petitions in the corner collecting dust and push them through.

  12. Thanks for your advice everyone! I think that's what I needed to hear. Guess I'm going to slug it out!

BTW, my fiancee's cousin has already gone through AOS, I dunno how she did it but it adds a lot of pressure to my fiancee when all of her family keeps saying "well when your cousin went to the US...."

  13. My fiancee and I are stuck in a tough spot now because of all this IMBRA B.S. She originally had an interview scheduled for May 19th, and at that time she bought a ticket to come to the US on August 16th. Well obviously her interview was cancelled and my petition entered IMBRA wasteland until July 11th when my RFE was sent. Since I haven't been touched at all this week and there have been no VSC approvals recently, I'm thinking that there is little chance she will be approved this week. If she was, she could still make the flight if the petition was quickly sent to Prague, as I have some contacts in the Foreign Service who can help me out on that end.

My fiancee was speaking to her cousin who also married an American and moved to the US. She simply came to the US on her tourist visa, got married and filed for AOS. While I know this isn't the way it's "supposed" to be done, is this an option at this point, that being, to cancel the K1 application and then just have her "visit" here and then get married? My fiancee has a multilple entry tourist visa so that's not a problem. Will they immediately be able to tell that we applied for a K1 and deport her at the border or during the AOS?

I know this is very desperate but I'm delerious at this point and at wit's end with USCIS. The alternative is to change her flight (which will cost 500+ dollars and will be difficult because who knows when the damn visa will get approved) and just wait it out. That's obviously probably what I'll do but I just wanted to through my thoughts out there...

Thanks for everyone's support and help on this board, especially for us recall folks who had our christmans present given to us, only to have it snatched away from our hands by the evil USCIS!!

  14. I just called the VSC and the operator told me that an officer was looking at my case and that an RFE would be sent. I asked her when I could expect it to be sent and she said "within 30 days." She didn't seem very sure of her answer but this would imply that everyone will be getting an RFE eventually.

While rlt received a message that his case is being processed, my online status still says that it was approved April 13, but there was a touch on June 1.
