  1. Hi UK VJers!

I have finally come to the end of the first part of my journey and I received my conditional green card on Monday! I was a K1 visa holder and mailed my AOS in June 2016.

I wanted to warn everyone that the lady at the San Francisco immigration office almost told me my vaccinations were not complete because the box at the bottom of the medical was not ticked. This is the box that the dr should tick but doesn't because the K1 is technically not an immigration visa. I know this was an ongoing issue in the past and I wanted to bring it up that if you can persuade them to tick it at Knightsbridge it will make things a lot easier!

At at the time I had my medical - Knightsbridge also only gave me the vaccination sheet and not the second sheet which contains a stamp certifying that you have everything for immigration purposes. I found a thread on here that told me you could request this second sheet by email and I am so so glad I found that piece of advice! I was able to convince the immigration lady that I had everything with this second sheet that I submitted with my AOS packet back in June.

I couldn't find the original thread so I wanted to create this and hope that it helps other people have a smoother journey to permenant residency!!

    good luck!

Hey June filers, we attended my wife's AOS interview December 21 in San Francisco. We received e-mail and text notices that she was approved on December 29th and then received another e-mail and text that  the green card was supposedly mailed on January 4th. Now 1 month later we still have not received it. I put in an inquiry and they gave the standard your request will be answered within 30 days. Just checking to see if anyone else has been approved but it took over a month to receive the green card. We have received every piece of mail sent up to this point and the EAD/AP card only took a few days to get to us once it was sent so there has been no issues receiving anything from immigration. Strangely we never received a USPS tracking number for the green card though we got one for the EAD/AP card. I'm hoping this just means it hasn't been mailed yet. Hopefully they are just slow mailing these things out right now.

    Hi,

I had my interview in SF too on 1/18. I was approved 1/20 and my card turned up earlier this week. I'm sorry to hear your card hasn't made it to you yet - I would definitely inquire further.

  3. Do u guys know ..how long USCIS. Takes to sent e notification to mobile phone of applicant once they receive the AOS packet ?

Also do we gonna e notification of NOA's on phone via text also ?

We sent our AOS packet June 11th, it was received on the 16th and the check was only cashed last Friday the 24th. We received texts and emails yesterday (6 exactly the same to be precise!) and are now waiting on the physical NOA.

I know that after a week or so I was starting to get worried but fear not. Unfortunately this is a huge game of patience. Hope this helped!!
