Dear Friend;
Could you kindly please update me about your wife interview results on Sep 30? Did they give your baby visa as your wife's derivative?
Thanks in advance.
-
No matter how sure you are that you had sent, you still need to resubmit it as NVC does not have it now. Whose fault does not matter. It does matter that NVC does not have the required document.
-
I just talked NVC and was told that it's not necessary to send NVC a copy of Naturalization Certificate as NVC has done the interview schedule. Mom and kid shall go to the interview. It'll be decision of visa officer to issue visa to the kid. So good luck.

Thank you. Please update me the outcome from the interview. My wife's interview date is Oct 15 in Guangzhou. I became USC last Friday.
-
Friend;
Any update on your case? Or their visa interview was completed?
-
First your wife and baby shall go together for the interview. You may be lucky if the officer will give them both the visa stamp after your wife told the officer you're US citizen. If so, it'll save your money, time, and headache efforts.
If you're not in rush, you can just wait for submitting I130 for your baby after the interview date.
-
Now you're US citizen, so you have to file separate I-130 for your baby. For your wife, just go ahead with the scheduled interview. It means that your wife and baby may not get immigration visa at the same time.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
-
So when you filed petition for my wife and baby, you filed one I130 for wife, and separate one for baby. Then you will not need to file another I-130 for your baby again after you became US citizen. If the interview date has been scheduled, then you have nothing to worry about it.
I have similar case as yours. When I filed petition for my wife and daughter based on F2A, I filed two I-130. Their priority date will become current by October Visa Bulletin (to be out around mid of Sep) and I have been scheduled for oath ceremony at mid of Sep. So weird and incident! Both will come at the same time. From my naturalization interview done to the oath ceremony, it will take 2 months.
Good luck and update me if convenient to you.

I was told that I had to wait for 42 days from July 14 to get supervisor's response.
I wish they could finish the case review ASAP.
-
same boat here. submitted the whole package (AOS and IV) and DS260 on June 8. Called on July 13, they said to notify supervisor. Call toady that supervisor looked at it on July 14 and I have to wait for another 42 days for supervisor response.
Don't know what trick they play with us.
-
I submitted DS-260 and all package on June 09, but have not got any update yet.
-
same boat here. My naturalization interview scheduled on July 29. Do you have any sense how long from the interview to the oath ceremony?
Also what priority date is yours? mine is March 12, 2014, now processing Dec 15, 2013.
-
my case is F2A with PD of 3/12/2014. So we have to wait for PD becomes current. Then an interview will be scheduled. A little different from yours.
-
I got the same this morning. It seems that you and I submit the package on the same day. It's a routine and standard process having nothing to do with bad or good. They need timing to review the package we submit.

May 7 via email. Then CEAC website is in technical difficulties. Last Thursday I tried and it worked.
-
IV fee paid online last Thursday, then "in progress", and then "paid" after 5:00pm Monday afternoon.
-
Per IRS rule, it's not mandatory that your spouse has to file us income tax as long as you don't claim her for any deduction. She's not us resident yet, does not earn any income from US.
-
NVC treats your case as normal. Normally NVC will start processing a case whose PD will become current in 5-7 months. This will give the petitioner and applicant have enough time to make payments and prepare documents.
My advise is to follow NVC process which will be quicker.
-
Filled DS-260 and submitted on line and email IV package and Affidavit of support package to NVC today. Now waiting for any response from NVC.
-
Just let you know AOS and IV fee can be paid online this morning. I did mine this morning. seems the web is back working now.
-
it will probably take a week or so for the DS-260 to become unlocked. If it hasn't by next week, I would call them
Thank you, pal.
-
I just paid IV fee. Seem the web is back now. DS-260 cannot be filled yet.
-
Cross fingers. And wish this nightmare will be over soon.

Normally they get response after you already have an answer.
