I think you are right. I made a mistake. I should have added a Household member instead of Joint sponsor. I don't think I can create another inquiry before they respond to the last one, right?

Thank you. I used the "Ask NVC" tool to submit inquiry. Hopefully they will respond soon. By the way, should it have been "Joint Sponsor" or "Household Member" when husband and wife file taxes "married filing jointly". My wife, who is the petitioner, does not have her own income last 2 years, that's why we thought to add myself as a joint sponsor.

I'm in the same boat. Did it ever fix for your friend, and how long did it take? It's only been a day for me after adding a joint sponsor, but I am unable to proceed because it keeps taking me to civil documents page.

I am finding it impossible to upload AOS and related financial documents. I am not sure if it is because I submitted IV application and Civil documents first, or because I tried to add a joint sponsor. I have already submitted civil documents, but cannot proceed with AOS.

When I click on "NOT SUBMITTED" link under affidavit of support, it takes me to Civil documents Tab, and the AOS and Financial documents tab is not clickable.

Has anyone faced this issue before, and tell me how they resolved it?

I paper filed my n400 back in Oct 2017. I had my interview for naturalization back in Dec 2018 in Dallas. I was recommended for Naturalization, but was told it would take between 6-8 weeks before they could schedule a Judicial Oath Ceremony (because I was changing names.) It has been more than 10 weeks, and still have not got any updates about the oath ceremony. Curiously, my case status online still says "Interview Was Scheduled".

Last week I have submitted an e-request in the Self Service tool, but haven't heard back. Dallas service center does "is not accepting walk-in requests or scheduling InfoPass appointments."

Is there a way to find out what's happening with my oath ceremony, or talk to someone at USCIS? I hope the community can advise.

I was on the same boat until I made the call to the SS office. I called them to see how I could get hold of the "Status Information Letter". The call was very surprising because I discovered I was already in the system, they just didn't have my Social Security number; hence I could not find myself in the online tool. I still don't remember when I had applied, but apparently I was in the system. They verified all my info and asked me my Social Security to add and I was finally able to verify online. Try it! Ask them that you may be in the system but may not have your social security number on file.

I have a question to ask for the VJ folks here, and hope for an intelligent answer.

I called the customer service at USCIS this morning about when I should expect my interview. I was baffled when they said the Dallas service center is processing cases from Sep 2016. That is at least a year away! And yet, I get notified every day that folks here are getting their interview scheduled when we all submitted our cases the same month. I know your interview dates can vary case by case, but whey this discrepancy in the timeline? What should I have done differently?

I can't help being envious of y'all who have gotten their interview notice, or at least in line.

Sorry for the rant.

Can anyone explain what the actual timeline looks like, because it seems so different even for the same Service Center. I had my fingerprints done on 11/01 and have not gotten any updates since. I applied by mail to the Dallas Center. I am seeing people already getting in line and even getting interview dates.

I am asking because I need to make travel arrangements soon for end of April. Its also a bit frustrating checking my Case Status a few times every day and not seeing any movement.

I don't know about AOS interview, but when my wife was interviewed at the Embassy in Kathmandu, they only asked her 2 simple questions:

1.When did you husband go to the States?

2. Was your marriage love/arranged?

We married just over 1 and half years ago.

Yes, my wife had her interview yesterday and it was showing the Administrative Processing status. It changed to Issued today. If you were not given a 221g, you have nothing to worry about.

Hello btw in how many days do we get the passport back once we are approved. Now days we have to pick it up from investment bank in durbarmarg . Got approved on 30 Sep 2015 and was intending to fly on 15 October . Was curious if I will get the passport back. I heard it takes few days ti get your passport back. How long did your take? Thanks

SOOO Excited :joy: I just saw on CEAC...your visa has been printed (Issued). Yeyyy It was in AP for a one day but it changed to issued. Guys don't worry if your case is in AP..it will just take 1-2 days to print visa. I would like to thank and appreciate everyone for your great help. YOU GUYS ARE ROCKSATRS !!!! Finally, this journey end. I wish a good luck to everyone who is still running through the process.

I have a few questions:

How long does it normally take to receive the visa after a successful interview? If someone has experience from the Embassy in Kathmandu, please share.
Do we have to create a profile at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/
Do we need to bring along documents not mentioned in the instructions? Like photographs and such?

Imadol when did you received interview letter?? My priority date is March 20, so, I'll be close to get the IL?? I'm very impatient!!!

I have not actually received the interview letter, but it was on the call with NVC, the agent confirmed they scheduled interview for Oct 7. They said it would take about a week to send the letters. So if your case is completed, you should call to verify the interview date, the letter will probably come next week.
