I can't believe I am saying this, but I am glad to hear the June dates are all filled means we can go adventuring without the stress. As we were CC last thursday hope that at least the interview date gets arranged this week. Would be awesome to know what we are dealing with!
Good luck with everything on your end

Yeh Jamie I called around all my schools and local council to give me proof that I was up to date with vaccinations.
My medical was in Melbourne at Medibank and to be honest was the only part of this process that has been smooth and easy.
Was around $400 and could not use cash and then went back the next day to get my x-ray, disk and sealed envelope.
Exciting you got CC now hopefully your wait for your interview date and actual interview comes quickly!!!
Hey thanks Brendan
I went to my doctors yesterday to get a blood test to see what I am vaccinated against, so will find out on Tuesday. He did ask why I was doing this, to which I said for a visa, and he said you know that Medicare doesnt cover it if it is for a medical, so I was like what no, no, no this is totally for work. Soooo it ended up being free.
It is soooo exciting that we got CC the other day, how long was the process for you from CC, until the interview was organised etc.
Also how was your interview?
We are going away for the whole month in June to south east asia so really hoping it isnt scheduled for then.
It is good to see other Aussies going through the same process

You can call them or you can check the state department website http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/prepare/medical-examination.html
This link to medical and when you will get a PDF of your embassy! And what rules they do have concerning doctors! Good luck
Hey thanks heaps for that link was really helpful!!

Can you do that... I didnt realise you could call them directly!

Helllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooo everybody!!!
It ia really exciting to be writing our very first posting in this part of the forum.
On 21st May it was my partners bday and that was the day I checked CAEC and saw 3 N/A's called NVC, to which they said which they said we had case complete.
We have received any emails as of yet though to confirm CC however.
We have planned a huge month long adventure around South East Asia, from 1st June until 1st July, visiting Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. So really, really hoping the interview isnt schduled between those date.
We have decided to get things ready however, I will go and get some blood tests to see what I have already been vaccinated against, get the police report. So when are back we can go straight to do the medical.
If by any chance it is scheduled sooner than later, do you think I could go to an approved US doctor in another country and take that to the US Sydney Australia embassy??

What is your scan date please?
Our second scan date was 24th April after a checklist.
How long after 3 N/A do we get notification it is Case Complete?
-
Had my 3rd N/A yesterday on one of my cases. .. then hubby called them after work to confirm .. guess what, the rep told him our papers have not yet been reviewed. ... is this normal. ..or did the rep give false information. Our sd is 20th April but he said it's 21st... quite confusing... I know in my heart I have a CC.
Oh very interesting.... I would love to know what happens from this CeeMu

When did you see this...just now??

Hey all,
We should be (fingers crossed) getting our CC this week. Which means that we are now focusing on getting ready for the medical before the interview, and want to price/space out what is needed.
I saw that there are only two medical establishments within Sydney that have been approved, one website has their prices for what they offer.
My questions is;
* What aspect of the items listed are the must have, to be done to take into the interview??
* Do I require every single vaccination???
The question may have been asked so many times so really appreciate it if you do not mind answering once more.
I am thinking of spacing out the costs over a period of time
Also for anyone who knows the Australian Medicare system, are any of these under rebate to claim any of the prices back or free under Medicare??
Thanks again
Jamie and Logan
I have just added up all the prices and they come to $1079.78
Does that sound right... just need to work out budgets and stuff

Hey all,
Well our 30 days will be on Friday 22nd, so hopefully this week!

Hello all,
We have a filling date on 24th April 2015, it is great to see a whole lot of case completes, I am so hoping that happens for us as well very soon.
Does anyone know the average timeframe from CC to interview?
We are going on a scheduled month holiday throughout June, would be magic if everything happened before we went away...
What do you all think?
