Let me tell you this , a classmate of mine studied here for 6 years and was on OPT for two years , she had a great job and was making $85,000 fresh out of college plus bonuses , the company filed H1b for her twice and she wasn't selected. Now she has to pack and go back to japan.

The other person wasn't being counterproductive. S/he merely told you a fact that many people wants to come to the states for whatever reasons but not everybody could. A visa is not guaranteed even if you had a good job here , not to mention applying for a non existent working visa from abroad. Besides , If you have no U.S. Education, work experiences or you are not a world renowned person, you chance of finding a job in the U.S. Is extremely slim. And you have just graduated from high school, you don't even have a college degree , I don't think you are even qualified for h1b.

Did I read out loud about my qualification? Buddy, I'm a B.Sc, Doing M.Sc. now and done two diplomas on GIS/RS.

Question - do you want to live in the US? Or just work for a stint then go home?

Actually I have a photographic project in mind which I want to do only for USA. About the 50 states. I'm 23 now and want to go to the US to do this. Kinda. So, I'm trying to find a job at first. If you know other ways to be there help me out, please, please share.

I'm an immigrant from India. Do I have to apply for a work permit before I start applying for job in the U.S.A? Won't I be able to apply at first? Suppose I'm selected,would the hiring company arrange for my work permit or I would have to start applying with the work permit? The thing is that does the U.S consulate give the VISA without any guaranteed job offer? Hope that i would be helped.
